Nous rendons compte ici d’une recherche action en éducation pour la santé des enfants de cours moyen de deuxième année d’Argenteuil. Partant d’une réalité de terrain – des enfants jouaient à chat-sida – nous avons mis en place une action de prévention non ciblée et qui parte de la parole des enfants. C’est cette idée qui a déterminé la forme des interventions : deux médecins, un homme et une femme, viennent se mettre à la disposition des enfants pour parler avec eux des problèmes de santé qui les intéressent. Ce travail relate l’histoire et la mise en place du projet, le déroulement des interventions, les modalités d’évaluation. Nous donnons aussi quelques éléments de réflexions sur les actions en éducation pour la santé. Nous sommes partis des représentations et des préoccupations des enfants pour permettre à chacun de ses situer par rapport à ses propres risques. Car en définitive, c’est chacun qui devra donner ses propres réponses.
