Micromodels Volume 2

Micromodels Volume 2 PDF Author: Markus Christl
Publisher: Verlag für Technik und Handwerk
ISBN:
Category : Crafts & Hobbies
Languages : en
Pages : 208

Book Description
The great success of the first book on remote-controlled miniature models has encouraged the team of authors around Thorsten Feuchter to build more functional road vehicles in 1:87 scale and to describe their experiences in detail again. Their preference is for functional models such as the heavy-duty tractor with manual gearbox, the wheel loader that can do some proper excavating, and the road sweeper that will make the battery hoover superfluous for model railways in the future. In addition to teaching the basics such as the use of LEDs and muscular wire, this book is particularly concerned with the steering, switching and lighting of H0 vehicles. The solutions presented here require a well-equipped hobby workshop, but some of the projects can also be realised without a lathe or milling machine. Over 140 illustrations and numerous sketches and tables supplement the text.

Regional Research Frontiers - Vol. 2

Regional Research Frontiers - Vol. 2 PDF Author: Randall Jackson
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 3319505904
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 308

Book Description
This is the second volume in a two-part series on frontiers in regional research. It identifies methodological advances as well as trends and future developments in regional systems modelling and open science. Building on recent methodological and modelling advances, as well as on extensive policy-analysis experience, top international regional scientists identify and evaluate emerging new conceptual and methodological trends and directions in regional research. Topics such as dynamic interindustry modelling, computable general equilibrium models, exploratory spatial data analysis, geographic information science, spatial econometrics and other advanced methods are the central focus of this book. The volume provides insights into the latest developments in object orientation, open source, and workflow systems, all in support of open science. It will appeal to a wide readership, from regional scientists and economists to geographers, quantitatively oriented regional planners and other related disciplines. It offers a source of relevant information for academic researchers and policy analysts in government, and is also suitable for advanced teaching courses on regional and spatial science, economics and political science.

Micromodels-Volume 1 PDF Author: Markus Christl
Publisher: Verlag für Technik und Handwerk

Category : Crafts & Hobbies
Languages : en
Pages : 267

Book Description
On the road and off-road, on and under water and even in the air - micro models can do everything like the big ones! Since miniaturised electronic components, tiny motors and the smallest batteries have been available, it is possible to build remote-controlled models even in H0 scale. They can drive, fly or swim, can be steered, have indicators, headlights and blue lights, compete in four-wheel drive truck trials or dive in the aquarium. The authors, all pioneers of this new fascinating hobby, show here how to get from the simple conversion of a commercially available model to the realisation of a wide range of special functions to the high school of micromodelling. There are detailed building descriptions, richly illustrated with more than 200 illustrations, for a truck with rafinesses, a bulldozer with crawler tracks, a Unimog for road and rail, a landing ship, a research submarine, a twin-engine aircraft and several more. In addition, there are explanations of the basic electrical and electronic components as well as sources of supply and useful tips and tricks for the workshop - because micromodelling requires special knowledge and skills. Discover a new challenge for talented tinkerers: micromodelling!

Proceedings of DINAME 2017

Proceedings of DINAME 2017 PDF Author: Agenor de T. Fleury
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 3319912178
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 553

Book Description
This book presents the most significant contributions to the DINAME 2017 conference, covering a range of dynamic problems to provide insights into recent trends and advances in a broad variety of fields seldom found in other proceedings volumes. DINAME has been held every two years since 1986 and is internationally recognized as a central forum for discussing scientific achievements related to dynamic problems in mechanics. Unlike many other conferences, it employs a single-session format for the oral presentations of all papers, which limits the number of accepted papers to roughly 100 and makes the evaluation process extremely rigorous. The papers gathered here will be of interest to all researchers, graduate students and engineering professionals working in the fields of mechanical and mechatronics engineering and related areas around the globe.
