The I AM Discourses
Author: Godfre Ray King
Publisher: Clearfield Group
ISBN:
Category : Philosophy
Languages : en
Pages : 172
Book Description
"Awaken to the fact that your thought and feeling in the past have built—created—the inharmony of your world today. Arise! I say, Arise! and walk with the Father—the “I AM”—that you may be free from these limitations. Life, in all Its Activities everywhere manifest, is God in Action; and it is only through lack of the understanding of applied thought and feeling that mankind is constantly interrupting the pure flow of that Perfect Essence of Life which would, without interference, naturally express Its Perfection everywhere."

Book Description
For the first time, a Tantric scholar and expert in the Hindu traditions of Ayurveda and astrology presents a system of numerology that combines numerical calculations, astrological data, and an analysis of body type. He illustrates the Vedic Square and the visual patterns that can be derived from it, casting a revealing light on the more esoteric interpretations of numbers and their relationship to one another. Recommendations are given regarding strong and weak periods of day or year, favorable colors and precious stones to be worn, and meditations and mantras to be practiced for health and prosperity. Explains how to determine the psychic number, name number, and destiny number; how these numbers relate to each of the nine planets, and how they apply to every aspect of life--including personality, temperament, intelligence, talents, sexuality, spirituality, finances, travel, and health.

Book Description

Life Is Consciousness
Author: Emmet Fox
Publisher: Ravenio Books
ISBN:
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 12
Book Description
The Truth movement, as we call it is the most important thing in the world today. The Truth movement, which centers in the belief in the omnipresence and availability of God, is the most important thing in the world, because it is the only thing that can save the world. Nothing else can. Everything else has been tried. People have tried building up might and power, and have used it to wreck themselves. Man has built up intellectual power; and especially since four centuries ago, since the Renaissance, education has been intellectual. People are surprised when you tell them that there is any other kind of education. Those of us who have had the advantages of a higher education know that so-called intellectual study gives very, very little help in the practical business of living. This Truth movement comes along, takes hold of people and changes them. It restores health if that has been lost, restores estate if that has been lost, restores self-respect if that has been lost. It puts people on their feet, and shows them that there is something in life worth living for.

The Reception of Darwinism in the Iberian World
Author: T.F Glick
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 9789401038850
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 283
Book Description
I Twenty-five years ago, at the Conference on the Comparative Reception of Darwinism held at the University of Texas in 1972, only two countries of the Iberian world-Spain and Mexico-were represented.' At the time, it was apparent that the topic had attracted interest only as regarded the "mainstream" science countries of Western Europe, plus the United States. The Eurocentric bias of professional history of science was a fact. The sea change that subsequently occurred in the historiography of science makes 1972 appear something like the antediluvian era. Still, we would like to think that that meeting was prescient in looking beyond the mainstream science countries-as then perceived-in order to test the variation that ideas undergo as they pass from center to periphery. One thing that the comparative study of the reception of ideas makes abundantly clear, however, is the weakness of the center/periphery dichotomy from the perspective of the diffusion of scientific ideas. Catholics in mainstream countries, for example, did not handle evolution much better than did their corre1igionaries on the fringes. Conversely, Darwinians in Latin America were frequently better placed to advance Darwin's ideas in a social and political sense than were their fellow evolutionists on the Continent. The Texas meeting was also a marker in the comparative reception of scientific ideas, Darwinism aside. Although, by 1972, scientific institutions had been studied comparatively, there was no antecedent for the comparative history of scientific ideas.
