A notice inserted in the newspapers, during the previous week stated that those persons desirous to form a Horticultural Society are requested to meet at the Frank lin Institute, South Seventh street, on Saturday next at 12 o'clock precisely. This announcement was signed by James Mease, M. D., George Pepper, Reuben Haines, Charles Chauncey, William Davidson, N. Chapman, M. D., John Vaughn, Joseph Hopkinson, Horace Binney and Mathew Carey.
