Book Description
The authors present a study of the decays B[sup 0][yields] D[sub s][sup (*)+] D*[sup -], using 20.8 fb[sup -1] of e[sup+]e[sup -] annihilation data recorded with the BABAR detector. The analysis is conducted with a partial reconstruction technique, in which only the D[sub s][sup (*)+] and the soft pion from the D*[sup -] decay are reconstructed. They measure the branching fractions[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D[sub s][sup (*)+] D*[sup -])= (1.03[+-] 0.14[+-] 0.13[+-] 0.26)% and[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D[sub s][sup (*)+] D*[sup -])= (1.97[+-] 0.15[+-] 0.30[+-] 0.49)%, where the first error is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is the error due to the D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+] branching fraction uncertainty. From the B[sup 0][yields] D[sub s][sup (*)+] D*[sup -] angular distributions, they measure the fraction of longitudinal polarization[Lambda][sub L]/[Lambda]= (51.9[+-] 5.0[+-] 2.8)%, which is consistent with theoretical predictions based on factorization.

Book Description
We present measurements of the decays B[sup 0][yields] D[sub s][sup (*)+] D*[sup -], using data recorded by the BABAR detector in 1999 and 2000, consisting of 20.8 fb[sup -1]. The analysis is conducted with a partial reconstruction technique, in which only the D[sub s][sup (*)+] and the soft pion from the D*[sup -] decay are reconstructed. From the observed rates, we measure the branching fractions[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -])= (1.03[+-] 0.14[+-] 0.13[+-] 0.26)% and[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -])= (1.97[+-] 0.15[+-] 0.30[+-] 0.49)%, where the first error is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is the error due to the D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+] branching fraction uncertainty. From the[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -]) angular distributions, we measure the fraction of longitudinal polarization[Lambda][sub L]/[Lambda]= (51.9[+-] 5.0[+-] 2.8)%, which is consistent with the theoretical prediction, based on factorization. These results are preliminary.

Book Description
The B° 2!D*− a1 branching fraction has been measured with data collected by the BaBar experiment in 1999 and 2000 corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 20.6 fb−1. Signal events have been selected using a partial reconstruction technique, in which only the a1 and the slow pion ([pi]{sub s}) from the D*− decay are identified. A signal yield of 18400 ± 1200 events has been found, corresponding to a preliminary branching fraction of (1.20 ± 0.07(stat) ± 0.14(syst))%.

Book Description
This thesis describes a measurement of the branching fraction Br(B°{sub s} → D{sup (*)}{sub s} D{sup (*)}{sub s}) made using a data sample collected from proton-antiproton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV, corresponding to approximately 1.3 fb−1 of integrated luminosity collected in 2002--2006 by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. One D{sup (*)}{sub s} meson was partially reconstructed in the decay D{sub s} → [phi][mu][nu], and the other D{sup (*)}{sub s} meson was identified using the decay D{sub s} → [phi][pi] where no attempt was made to distinguish D{sub s} and D{sup *}{sub s} states. The resulting measurement is Br(B°{sub s} → D{sup (*)}{sub s} D{sup (*)}{sub s}) = 0.039{sup +0.019}{sub -0.017}(stat){sup +0.016}{sub -0.015}(syst). This was subsequently used to estimate the width difference [Delta][Gamma]{sup CP}{sub s} in the B°{sub s}-{anti B}°{sub s} system: [Delta][Gamma]{sup CP}{sub s}/[Gamma]{sub s} = 0.079{sup +0.038}{sub -0.035}(stat){sup +0.031}{sub 0.030}(syst), and is currently one of the most precise estimates of this quantity and consistent with the Standard Model.

Book Description
Using 355 pb−1 of data collected by the CDF II detector in p{bar p} collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron, they study the fully reconstructed hadronic decays B{sub (s)}° → D{sub (s)}−? and B{sub (s)}° → D{sub (s)}−?+?+?−. They present the first measurement of the ratio of branching fractions?(B{sub s}° → D{sub s}−?+?+?−)/?(B° → D−?+?+?−) = 1.05 ± 0.10(stat.) ± 0.22(syst.). They also update their measurement of?(B{sub s}° → D{sub s}−?+)/?(B° → D−?+) to 1.13 ± 0.08(stat.) ± 0.23(syst.) improving the statistical uncertainty by more than a factor of two. They find?(B{sub s}° → D{sub s}−?+) = [3.8 ± 0.3(stat.) ± 1.3(syst.)] x 10−3 and?(B{sub s}° → D{sub s}−?+?+?−) = [8.4 ± 0.8(stat.) ± 3.2(syst.)] x 10−3.

Book Description
The authors present model-independent measurements of the branching fractions[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -]) and[Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+]) based on 19.3 fb[sup -1] of data collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e[sup+]e[sup -] B Factory. Neutral B-meson decays to the D*[sub s][sup+]D*[sup -] final state are selected with a partial reconstruction of the D*[sub s][sup+]; that is, only the D*[sup -] and the soft photon from the decay D*[sub s][sup+][yields] D[sub s][sup+][gamma] are reconstructed. The branching fraction[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -]) is extracted from these event yields, while[Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+]) is determined by combining this result with a previous measurement of the product[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -]) x[Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+]) with partial reconstruction of the D*[sup -]. They obtain the following preliminary results:[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] D*[sub s][sup+] D*[sup -])= (1.50[+-] 0.16[+-] 0.12)%, [Beta](D[sub s][sup+][yields][phi][pi][sup+])= (4.7[+-] 0.6[+-] 0.8)% where the first error is statistical, and the second systematic.
