Book Description
This fourth book of "The Right Time" futuristic science fiction saga, continues to tell how Humans and Nutopians strive to achieve the "Maximum Pleasure" of all their endeavors within themselves, communities, cities and nations. Humans seek maximum pleasure from their gods. Nutopians are examined by the Ministers of Godlife to reveal how they will 'support' maximum pleasure. Whenever maximum pleasure will manifest itself, it will be at the right time to be given, taken, or shared by common people, warriors, criminals, and saints. Everyone's pursuit of maximum pleasure is thwarted or advanced by inevitable uncertainty which they must confront. In the future, attaining maximum pleasure will also be greatly influenced by covert Lords of the Human Observation Selection Terminus whom desire world peace at all cost. Everyone deplores killing, but 'Freedom' clashes with 'Unity' in the formation of the Federation, which is the final hope for world globalization and peace. Not to kill is not an option to achieve the maximum pleasure of world peace that Humans desire. The Federation strives to split the world into three distinct regions within four quadrants of the Earth; The Holy Lands, the Badlands, and the Federation Lands. The governing of the Tri-planet area, Readily Accessible Space, and the Nutopian Occupation, do not make the establishment of the Federation, and the achievement of "Maximum Pleasure" less complicated. Heaven and Earth are at War for Maximum Pleasure.

Pleasure

Pleasure PDF Author: Alexander Lowen
Publisher:
ISBN: 9780974373720
Category : Psychology
Languages : en
Pages : 244

Book Description
One of the world's leading innovators in the field of psychology shows you how to expand and realize your capacity to feel your body's aliveness, natural freedom, and spontaneity. A more creative life through pleasure is the promise of this revolutionary book. Defining pleasure as a bodily experience, Dr. Alexander Lowen states that there is no such thing as pure mental pleasure and points out that the capacity for pleasure is also the capacity for creative self-expression. In most adults, however, the struggle for power competes with the striving for pleasure, undermines creativity, and causes muscular tensions. Pleasure offers a way out of this dilemma through a series of bioenergetic exercises. These exercises are described in easy-to-follow detail. Their aim is to help the body regain its natural freedom and spontaneity and to release not only pleasure but also joyous creativity.

Ethics

Ethics PDF Author: G. E. Moore
Publisher: Clarendon Press
ISBN: 0191534005
Category : Philosophy
Languages : en
Pages : 222

Book Description
G. E. Moore was a central figure in twentieth-century philosophy. Along with Russell and Wittgenstein, he pioneered analytic philosophy, and his Principia Ethica shaped the contours of twentieth-century ethics. Indeed, until the publication of Rawls's A Theory of Justice, no single book in moral philosophy was to equal Principia's influence. Unfortunately, however, Principia Ethica has so dominated critical discussions of Moore's work that even experts on his moral philosophy have tended to ignore his Ethics, which he published eight years later. But Ethics is Moore's only other book on moral philosophy, and one of only a handful of post-Principia publications dealing with ethics. Its detailed discussions of utilitarianism, free will, and the objectivity of moral judgements find no real counterpart in Principia while its account of right and wrong and of the nature of intrinsic value deepen our understanding of his moral philosophy. The republication of Ethics thus rounds out our understanding of Moore's ethical thought. But the book's value goes beyond its historical or scholarly interest. A short but philosophically rich text, Ethics stands independent of Principia and repays careful study in its own right. By raising a number of fundamental questions in ethics, questions that remain live today, by proffering clear, credible, and often innovative answers to them, and by doing so with a philosophical skill that is still impressive, Moore's short book is a minor classic. Almost a century after its original publication, it still amply rewards those who read it. This new edition of Moore's Ethics includes his essay 'The Nature of Moral Philosophy' as well as editorial notes, an introduction, and a guide to further reading.
