El electromagnetismo es una de las teorías más importantes para la comprensión del Universo y para el avance Científico y tecnológico de la humanidad; por ello, múltiples disciplinas académicas de nivel profesional requieren el estudio riguroso de este campo del conocimiento y, en prácticamente todos los programas académicos de educación media, están incluidos sus principios fundamentales. Debido a que muchos estudiantes que Ingresan a la universidad presentan deficiencias en estos temas, el autor propone un acercamiento metodológico en el cual, mediante un instrumental matemático sencillo, pero sin perder de vista el rigor y la exactitud de los conceptos, conduce al estudiante a una formulación sencilla de las ecuaciones de Maxwell. Con el propósito de Inducir a los nuevos alumnos de nivel universitario en 105 criterios que deben regir la formación profesional, el autor enfatiza en el carácter teórico-experimental de la física y motiva di estudiante a examinar el desarrollo histórico y filosófico de los conceptos.Dado que el nivel de tratamiento y de disponibilidad de herramienta matemática no puede ser exigente en los cursos libres, estas anotaciones se realizaron adaptando temas de textos de "Física" de mayor nivel como Serway, Tipler, Wilson y otros. En muchos temas se siguió, casi que al pié de la letra lo expuesto por textos de un nivel apropiado a nuestros propósitos, como, " Física" de Wilson y Buffa, también de "Fundamentals of Collage Physics" de Peter J. Nolan, entre otros. En estas notas se involucran algunas sugerencias de prácticas demostrativas y de experimentos o de ayudas pedagógicas que faciliten el entendimiento y discusión de los conceptos. También se colocan algunas notas históricas logradas de otros autores, con el propósito de invitar a los estudiantes a profundizar en la historia del desarrollo de la Física.
