Only with corresponding offers it will be possible to reach the demanding customers. In consideration of the growing visitor numbers from Switzerland the destination K hlungsborn aims at preparing itself to enter this market. To do so, in the long-run, it is necessary to follow a strategic planning, that shows which ways have to be gone to accomplish the striven aims. This book gives an in-depth analysis of the market situation, marketing strategies and the implementation of a concept to enter the Swiss market.

Pages : 255

Book Description
These post-proceedings contain the revised versions of the accepted papers of the international workshop \Transactions and Database Dynamics", which was the eighth workshop in a series focusing on foundations of models and languages for data and objects (FoMLaDO). Seven long papers and three short papers were accepted for inclusion in the proceedings. The papers address various issues of transactions and database dynamics: { criteria and protocols for global snapshot isolation in federated transaction management, { uni ed theory of concurrency control and replication control, { speci cation of evolving information systems, { inheritance mechanisms for deductive object databases with updates, { speci cation of active rules for maintaining database consistency, { integrity checking in subtransactions, { open nested transactions for multi-tier architectures, { declarative speci cation of transactions with static and dynamic integrity constraints, { logic-based speci cation of update queries as open nested transactions, and { execution guarantees and transactional processes in electronic commerce payments. In addition to the regular papers, there are papers resulting from two working groups. The rst working group paper discusses the basis for transactional c- putation. In particular, it addresses the speci cation of transactional software. The second working group paper focuses on transactions in electronic commerce applications. Biodiversity and Tourism

Biodiversity and Tourism PDF Author: German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 364260689X
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 343

Book Description
It is in the best interest of all concerned that tourism become sustainable and environmentally compatible. This need for "sustainable development" is and more by the responsible parties. Moreover, in the being recognised more search for solution strategies the realisation is gaining ground that tourism must be viewed as a worldwide phenomenon whose development must be co-ordinated in a co-operative effort spanning regions and continents. That the preservation of biological diversity also requires global co operation has been confirmed by over 170 countries which have already acceded to the "Convention on Biological Diversity". It is thus an important task to provide the foundations for joint action. Germany, one of the largest source countries of international tourism, must feel particularly obligated in this regard. The report published here is the result of a research project com missioned by the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation. The study pursued and examined the thesis that the Convention on Biological Diversity be used as a central instrument for arriving at international principles and regulations for combining nature conservation and tourism which could lead to a sustainable development of tourism. To further the discussion, the authors brought the study to a logical conclusion by working out a proposal for a "tourism protocol" additional to the existing Convention on Biodiversity. Such a protocol additional to the Convention would entail the stipulation of internationally binding implementation and regulations for achieving sustainable tourism.

Change, the Arrow of Time, and Divine Eternity in Light of Relativity Theory

Change, the Arrow of Time, and Divine Eternity in Light of Relativity Theory PDF Author: Daniel Saudek
Publisher: Springer Nature
ISBN: 303038411X
Category : Philosophy
Languages : en
Pages : 218

Book Description
This book has two aims; first, to provide a new account of time's arrow in light of relativity theory; second, to explain how God, being eternal, relates to our world, marked as it is by change and time. In part one, Saudek argues that time is not the expansive universal 'wave' that is appears to be, but nor are we living in an unchanging block. Rather, time is real but local: there are infinitely many arrows of time in the universe, each with their own fixed past and open future. This model is based on the ontology of substances which can exist in different states, marked by different properties. On this basis, a derivation of temporal precedence and of the asymmetry between the fixed past and the open future is provided. Time's arrow is thus 'attached' to substances, and is therefore a local rather than global phenomenon, though by no means an illusory or merely subjective one. In part two, this model is then applied to the perennial questions concerning the relationship between divine eternity and the temporal world: How can my future choices be free if God already knows what I will do? Can God act if He is not in time? Through the lens of relativity theory, such questions are shown to appear in a completely new light. The book combines insights from theoretical physics with ancient and contemporary philosophy into a unique synthesis, broaching a wealth of key issues including the arrow of time, the evolution of the cosmos, and a physics-based defence of eternalism in philosophical theology.
