Les thérapies lexico-sémantiques font partie intégrante de la prise en charge orthophonique des patients atteints de la maladie d'Alzheimer. Les bénéfices thérapeutiques liés à ce type de rééducation sont rapportés dans la littérature scientifique de ces trente dernières années. Dans le cadre de la maladie d'Alzheimer, les nouvelles technologies dans une perspective thérapeutique présentent également des intérêts quant à l'aspect attractif et le gain en autonomie des patients. Néanmoins, l'utilisation de supports technologiques pour une thérapie lexico-sémantique est, à ce jour, peu exploitée. Notre travail consistait à élaborer une thérapie lexico-sémantique sur tablette tactile, puis à la proposer à trois patients atteints de la maladie d'Alzheimer. Nous vérifions l'évolution des performances, l'utilisation semi-autonome du support et son aspect attractif. L'élaboration d'une ligne de base (tâche de dénomination) associée aux bilans pré et post-thérapeutiques ainsi qu'un questionnaire ont permis de vérifier ces points. La thérapie dispensée à raison de deux séances hebdomadaires pendant cinq semaines a suscité leur intérêt, notamment grâce au support jugé attractif et ludique. Les trois patients ont été capables d'utiliser la tablette de manière semi-autonome, et ce même sans avoir utilisé au préalable un quelconque outil technologique. De plus, une amélioration des performances lexico-sémantiques est constatable entre les séances ainsi qu'aux bilans post-thérapeutiques.

La maladie d’Alzheimer est aujourd’hui la démence la plus répandue. Les troubles de la mémoire et du langage déstabilisent les malades, leur font perdre leurs repères et les isolent socialement.Cette pathologie est le sujet de nombreuses études scientifiques et peut être prise en charge avec des traitements médicamenteux et non médicamenteux. L’orthophoniste a sa place au sein du parcours de soin et accompagne le malade dans le maintien de la communication, et ce, aux différents stades de la maladie. De nombreuses techniques de réadaptation des fonctions cognitives peuvent être mises en place, c’est pourquoi nous avons étudié l’impact d’un support tactile auprès du malade Alzheimer. Nous avons choisi neuf personnes diagnostiquées Démence Type Alzheimer avec lesquelles nous avons travaillé par le biais d’un support tactile. Au cours des séances, nous avons constaté l’intérêt du toucher dans la réminiscence de souvenirs épisodiques, procéduraux et sémantiques, sur le bien-être du patient et comme aide à la communication. En utilisant la grille de Thierry ROUSSEAU comme instrument d’analyse du langage de nos sujets, nous avons constaté une amélioration de l’aspect qualitatif du langage. Nous avons observé une meilleure interaction entre le thérapeute et le patient. Le support tactile a permis au malade atteint de Démence Type Alzheimer de retrouver son identité d’être communicant et a facilité l’émergence de ses souvenirs.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel are some of the most highly trained people in the military, with a job description that spans defusing unexploded ordnance to protecting VIP’s and state dignitaries.
