Este libro es un manual introductorio al campo del estudio pedagógico de la Tecnología Educativa en el que se desarrollan temas relativos a los nuevos retos y problemas educativos surgidos en el contexto de la sociedad de la información, a la definición e identificación de los distintos tipos de medios y materiales didácticos, al análisis del papel de los medios y las tecnologías en el contexto de la educación escolar, y a las aplicaciones de las nuevas tecnologías de la información y comunicación a la enseñanza. El cuarto capítulo está dedicado al análisis del papel, las funciones y la relevancia de los medios y las tecnologías en el principal contexto educativo de nuestra sociedad: el escolar. Finalmente, en el quinto capítulo se revisan las principales propuestas y métodos de enseñanza basados en el uso de ordenadores.
