The work of John Rennie, and cost above a million sterling. Toll a halfpenny. Bridge, is for foot passengers only. It is 1352 feet long. And has three Openings, the centre one being very wide, - 676 feet 6 inches. Begun in 1841; opened 1845. Sir J. K. Brunel, engineer. Toll a halfpenny. Cost of the work.
