Building a temple implies the mastering of different technicalities such as the commissioning and payment of the building process, procuring and transporting building material, the organization of work and the practical execution of building and decoration projects. But building a temple is also translating a religious idea into stone. From the design to the consecration of the temple, every stage in the process answers to a set of rules that enables the building to function as a temple. The aim of the 7th Tempeltagung was to examine the relation between the technical and the theological demands of temple building. How was architecture infl uencing the ritual, how did ritual texts refl ect the act of construction? What was the relation between the mythical temple and the actual temple? Who made the decisions and who executed them? What technical and theological considerations lay at the base of the choice of material and of form? In other words, how did the technical aspects of building influence the theological ideas, how was building a temple "structuring religion"?

La maîtrise du processus de réalisation d'un bâtiment constitue un enjeu majeur pour assurer des gains de qualité et de productivité dans l'avenir. Nous proposons de mettre en place une véritable démarche logistique appliquée aux chantiers de bâtiment. La logistique de chantier vise essentiellement à maîtriser les flux de produits, de matériaux et d'informations lors du chantier ainsi que de coordonner les ressources. Cela s'appuie sur une maîtrise globale des opérations intervenant lors de la réalisation d'un bâtiment. Cette maîtrise n'est possible qu'au moyen d'un outil informatique nouveau contribuant, de manière intégrée et interactive, aux diverses opérations d'organisation et de suivi des tâches de réalisation des ouvrages et d'approvisionnement des produits. L'analyse de la logistique met immédiatement en évidence les opérations successives contribuant à l'approvisionnement des produits et à la réalisation finale des ouvrages. Ces opérations constituent la chaîne logistique. Il apparaît que l'organisation et le suivi du déroulement des chaînes logistiques du chantier puissent être garants d'une certaine rationalisation de la production sur chantier. Malheureusement les modèles de gestion de chantier existant ne les prennent pas en considération. Les fonctions logistiques nécessaires à leur rationalisation sont analysées et formalisées. La complexité de leurs interactions rend les outils méthodologiques et informatique actuels inopérant. La nécessité de décrire précisément les opérations de réalisation et d'approvisionnement du chantier a induit la définition d'un modèle logistique (MLI) intégrant les chaînes logistiques. Des procédures de valorisation du modèle logistique sont proposées afin d'en exploiter les possibilités. Cela concerne notamment la définition des chaînes logistiques du chantier, la planification des tâches de réalisation et d'approvisionnement, le pilotage et le suivi du chantier. Afin de vérifier l'intérêt et la faisabilité de ces propositions, le prototype informatique OSL est développé. L'étude d'une opération de construction permet alors de confronter OSL à des situations d'organisation et de suivi de chantier concrètes.
