The European Conference of Ministers responsible for Regional Planning (CEMAT) has adopted a work programme directed towards formulation of the guiding principles which should guarantee the sustainable and comprehensive development of Europe in the next century, and be used as a reference for the framing of national policies in respect of spatial planning.
