Le nombre d'informations de sante sur internet est en croissance permanente. Quelles en sont les conséquences ? L'objectif de cette étude a été de rechercher s'il existait une évolution de la relation du patient internaute avec ses soignants, et de quel ordre. Méthode : il s'agit d'une étude quantitative portant sur 3 populations. 100 patients de médecine générale de Saône-et-Loire, 41 médecins généralistes libéraux de bourgogne et 30 pharmacies de bourgogne. Résultats : il y avait 54% de patients internautes. Dans 11% des cas ils ont demandé des médicaments en pharmacies et dans 5.5% ils avaient demandé des examens complémentaires ou l'avis de spécialistes. Dans l'échantillon de médecins généralistes, 95.1% avaient des patients internautes mentionnant leurs recherches. 22% des médecins généralistes avaient été mis en difficulté par ces recherches. 85.4% des médecins généralistes ressentaient une augmentation de l'anxiété chez ces patients. Dans l'échantillon de pharmacies, 83.3% avaient des patients internautes. 50% avaient été mises en difficulté par les recherches des patients internautes. 43.3% des pharmacies trouvaient les patients internautes plus anxieux. Conclusion : les recherches sur internet ont permis de montrer une évolution. En effet ces recherches ont été ressenties comme anxiogènes par nos trois populations. C'est avec les médecins généralistes que la relation a été le plus impactée.

Internet a connu ces dernières années un développement considérable. Il constitue une importante source d'informations médicales pour les patients devenant des interlocuteurs informés. Régulièrement confrontés à ce phénomène, quel est le ressenti des médecins sur leur relation avec des patients-internautes ? Une étude qualitative par entretiens semi-dirigés auprès de treize médecins généralistes du Cher a été réalisée entre Juillet et Octobre 2016. L'échantillon était raisonné en fonction du sexe, de l'âge, des lieux et du mode d'exercice. Une retranscription écrite intégrale et une analyse thématique de contenu ont été réalisées. Les médecins ont reconnu un usage régulier d'internet dans leur pratique professionnelle via des sites référencés. Ils ont considéré qu'internet était un outil d'informations rapide et facile d'accès au point de le banaliser. Le profil des patients à la recherche d'informations n'a pas été modifié avec l'arrivée d'internet. Selon les médecins, les motivations sont multiples : implication dans la démarche de soins, curiosité, effet de société ou par manque de médecins. La communication est devenue plus sincère augmentant la relation de confiance. Le patient est devenu plus autonome. Il est responsabilisé dans son projet de soins par partage du savoir. La diffusion de fausses informations est restée un risque majeur remettant en cause l'autorité médicale. Le rapport de force créé par une justification des prises en charge a entrainé une augmentation du temps de consultation selon les médecins. Les médecins ont souhaité pouvoir orienter leurs patients vers des sites fiables et contrôlés. La relation médecin-patient serait certainement améliorée si les médecins maitrisaient davantage l'outil internet et étaient formés à la gestion des patients-internautes.
