La maladie d’Alzheimer est aujourd’hui la démence la plus répandue. Les troubles de la mémoire et du langage déstabilisent les malades, leur font perdre leurs repères et les isolent socialement.Cette pathologie est le sujet de nombreuses études scientifiques et peut être prise en charge avec des traitements médicamenteux et non médicamenteux. L’orthophoniste a sa place au sein du parcours de soin et accompagne le malade dans le maintien de la communication, et ce, aux différents stades de la maladie. De nombreuses techniques de réadaptation des fonctions cognitives peuvent être mises en place, c’est pourquoi nous avons étudié l’impact d’un support tactile auprès du malade Alzheimer. Nous avons choisi neuf personnes diagnostiquées Démence Type Alzheimer avec lesquelles nous avons travaillé par le biais d’un support tactile. Au cours des séances, nous avons constaté l’intérêt du toucher dans la réminiscence de souvenirs épisodiques, procéduraux et sémantiques, sur le bien-être du patient et comme aide à la communication. En utilisant la grille de Thierry ROUSSEAU comme instrument d’analyse du langage de nos sujets, nous avons constaté une amélioration de l’aspect qualitatif du langage. Nous avons observé une meilleure interaction entre le thérapeute et le patient. Le support tactile a permis au malade atteint de Démence Type Alzheimer de retrouver son identité d’être communicant et a facilité l’émergence de ses souvenirs.

Cette étude fait suite aux mémoires de LELAIT (2012) et LEPAROUX & PINEAU (2013), qui ont étudié l'efficacité d'une prise en charge écosystémique du patient atteint de la maladie d'Alzheimer, en lien avec son aidant principal, grâce à l'outil du récit de vie. Le but de cette recherche est d'étudier une possible poursuite du récit de vie, grâce à la constitution d'un coffret de vie. Ce coffret contient des objets évocateurs de l'histoire de vie du patient, et est adressé aux personnes atteintes de la maladie d'Alzheimer à un stade avancé, lorsque les troubles de la communication gênent un échange essentiellement verbal. Il a pour vocation d'être un support de communication, et le prétexte à un moment d'échange agréable entre le patient et son entourage. D'une part, 3 aidants seuls (patients décédés) et un binôme patient / aidant ont été interrogés sur leur expérience passée de la réalisation d'un récit de vie avec un orthophoniste. D'autre part, nous avons proposé à 11 binômes de réaliser un coffret de vie, avec des objets illustrant leur histoire et évocateurs de souvenirs ; 9 coffrets ont été réalisés, 2 binômes n'ayant pas donné suite au projet. Cette recherche qualitative s'est déroulé lors d'entretiens, en présence des binômes patient / aidant principal. Une deuxième entrevue a été proposée aux binômes ayant accepté de réaliser le coffret de vie, afin de découvrir les objets et d'observer la situation de communication ainsi provoquée. Les résultats obtenus confirment que le coffret de vie permet un échange agréable entre l'aidant et le proche malade. C'est un support de communication personnalisable et écologique. Les objets sont médiateurs et favorisent la communication non verbale, la manipulation, l'utilisation d'objets et l'attention conjointe dans le binôme. Les objets les plus évocateurs sont surtout les objets personnels du patient, en général les objets usuels maniés tout au long de la vie et les objets marqués affectivement. Même si les résultats ne sont pas généralisables, ils sont encourageants, et appellent à de nouvelles recherches dans ce domaine

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel are some of the most highly trained people in the military, with a job description that spans defusing unexploded ordnance to protecting VIP’s and state dignitaries. EOD are also one of the first military groups to work with robots every day. These robots have become an increasingly important tool in EOD work, enabling people to work at safer distances in many dangerous situations. Based on exploratory research investigating interactions between EOD personnel and the robots they use, this study richly describes the nuances of these reciprocal influences, especially those related to operator emotion associated with the robots. Phronesis is the Aristotelian notion of practical wisdom. In this collected series, phronesis is explored as an alternate way of considering professional knowledge. Described as the biggest migration in human history, an estimated 250 million Chinese people have left their villages in recent decades to live and work in urban areas. Xinyuan Wang spent 15 months living among a community of these migrants in a small factory town in southeast China to track their use of social media. It was here she witnessed a second migration taking place: a movement from offline to online.
