Conrad and Ernestine (Brandner) Morsch emigrated from Rinklingen in the German state of Baden to Illinois in 1847. They, and their nine children, landed at Baltimore on 27 July 1847. Conrad was born on 16 April 1805. He married Ernestine Brandner (1807-1877) on 12 January 1830. Conrad and family moved to La Salle County, Illinois, in 1847. Two more children were born in Freedom Township. He died on 9 February 1866.
