Cette entreprise s'inscrit dans un contexte particulier, favorable à son aboutissement : l'accélération et l'approfondissement de la réforme et l'ouverture économique de la Chine, et politiquement la construction d'un Etat de droit socialiste. La mise en œuvre de la codification du droit civil chinois constitue la deuxième question fondamentale de cette étude. Si la codification suppose avant tout la rationalisation des sources du droit, cette exigence n'est pas toujours satisfaite. En outre, des difficultés surgissent tant sur le plan de la politique législative que sur le plan de la technique législative. A bien des égards, il s'agit d'une œuvre de compétence, de patience et bien entendu de persévérance.

Ultimately revealing its consistency and coherence, the author displays play as a modality of action of its own. "Playing is no 'doing' in the ordinary sense" once wrote Johan Huizinga.
