Book Description
"The Institute of Science and International Security’s new book Iran’s Perilous Pursuit of Nuclear Weapons chronicles the Islamic Republic of Iran’s efforts to build nuclear weapons. The book draws from original Iranian documents seized by Israel’s Mossad in 2018 in a dramatic overnight raid in Tehran. The “Nuclear Archive” allows deep insight into the country’s effort to secretly build nuclear weapons. The book relies on unprecedented access to archive documents, many translated by the Institute into English for the first time. The first part of the book concentrates on Iran’s crash nuclear weapons program in the early 2000s to build five nuclear weapons and an industrial complex to produce many more. By 2003, responding to growing pressure from European powers to freeze its publicly known nuclear programs and fearing a possible U.S. military attack, Iran’s leaders decided to downsize, but not stop, their secret nuclear weapons effort. The second part of the book discusses Iran’s nuclear path post-2003, revealing a careful plan to continue nuclear weapons work, overcome bottlenecks and better camouflage nuclear weapons development activities. Since 2003, the Islamic Republic’s nuclear scientists and weaponeers have concentrated on establishing capabilities to make weapon-grade uranium and developing more reliable, longer-range ballistic missiles."--Publisher description.

The Secret War with Iran

The Secret War with Iran PDF Author: Ronen Bergman
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
ISBN: 141656490X
Category : Political Science
Languages : en
Pages : 433

Book Description
For twenty-six years, Iran has waged an international terrorist war while the intelligence services of the West, led by Mossad and the CIA, have waged a relentless, mostly clandestine counter-jihad in return. Though Iran has become a quietly looming threat, little has been revealed about this intelligence-based war. Now, Ronen Bergman, Israel’s leading reporter and analyst of intelligence affairs, has written a full account of this secret war. He connected the dots of the long history of Iranian backed terrorist attacks, and revealed for the first time many classified operations against the Iranian terrorist network, including details about collaborations between Israel’s Mossad and the CIA and FBI; thrilling Mossad operations, the successful recruitment of top insiders of Iranian intelligence, who have disclosed a wealth of information about Iran’s nuclear program as well as it’s terrorist activities; and the use of ultra-sophisticated surveillance equipment to penetrate and damage Iranian targets. From the Iranian proxy Hizbollah’s planning of terrorists attacks from apartments in New York City, to Iran’s training of an army of work Iraqi insurgents in the techniques of suicide bombing and the making of improvised explosive devises, he showed Iran has steadily waged war against the West.

Treacherous Alliance

Treacherous Alliance PDF Author: Trita Parsi
Publisher: Yale University Press
ISBN: 0300138067
Category : Political Science
Languages : en
Pages : 381

Book Description
This award-winning study traces the shifting relations between Israel, Iran, and the U.S. since 1948—including secret alliances and treacherous acts. Vitriolic exchanges between the leaders of Iran and Israel are a disturbingly common feature of the news cycle. But the real roots of their enmity mystify Washington policymakers, leaving no promising pathways to stability. In Treacherous Alliance, U.S. foreign policy expert Trita Parsi untangles to complex and often duplicitous relationship among Israel, Iran, and the United States from 1948 to the present. In the process, he reveals shocking details of unsavory political maneuverings that have undermined Middle Eastern peace and disrupted U.S. foreign policy initiatives in the region. Parsi draws on his unique access to senior American, Iranian, and Israeli decision makers to present behind-the-scenes revelations that will surprise even the most knowledgeable readers: Iran’s prime minister asks Israel to assassinate Khomeini; Israel reaches out to Saddam Hussein after the Gulf War; the United States foils Iran’s plan to withdraw support from Hamas and Hezbollah; and more. Treacherous Alliance not only revises our understanding of the recent past, it also spells out a course for the future. Book Description
Computer master Mohammed Merishazadeh conquered Stuxnet. Then, a ruthless Revolutionary Guards general promotes him to supervise the supercomputer belonging to their most powerful and secret unit, the Ettelaat intelligence division. Mohammed's real name is Josef Khawaja Khinno. He is a Mossad mole. He sends a message to his controller: "Despite Iran's new president and his "charm offensive," the Revolutionary Guards continue nuclear processing in secret and will complete three atomic bombs in nine months." Israel and Iranian Kurdistan urgently craft a plan. They have key unknown military advantages: A satellite weapon of enormous power and Farsi speaking commandos from both groups ready to do anything necessary. The catch? Josef must secretly program the massive system but leave no trace. It's a critical component for a desperate raid on Fordo, the heart of Iran's nuclear program. IDF Captain David Abraham and his female Kurdish co-commander Nasrin entrust their lives to Josef's skills. The combined task: Completely eradicate Iran's atomic program including Isfahan, Natanz, Parchin and Arak. From the horn of Africa to Azerbaijan to a war of nerves in the Persian Gulf, absolutely nothing can point back to Israel or the Kurds. The incredible 40+ pictures and maps show how the mission can only succeed with No Fingerprints.

Book Description
Based on reliable information obtained by the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) network inside Iran, a top-secret committee is in charge of drafting the answers to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the Possible Military Dimensions (PMD) of Tehran's nuclear program. Top officials from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Defense Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL) comprise the committee's key members. They have been tasked with drafting the responses to IAEA's PMD inquiries working to cover up the military dimensions, thus resolving and terminating the PMD dispute by forging suitable scenarios for non-military usage of the program, which would seem plausible to the IAEA, and to falsely convince the international community that Iran has never been after the nuclear bomb..This committee prepared the PMD answers delivered to the IAEA on August 15, 2015. Among the foremost issues related to the PMD question are the explosive detonators called EBW (Exploding Bridge Wire) detonator, which is an integral part of a program to develop an implosion type nuclear device. In its September 2014 report, IAEA stated that Iran has offered "information and explanations to the Agency on Iran's work after 2007 related to the application of EBW detonators in the oil and gas industry which was not inconsistent with specialized industry practices." Tehran forged documents and exchanged communication between the Oil Ministry and the Defense Ministry to prove that the EBWs were produced and used by the oil industry. But according to an exhaustive investigation by the Iranian Resistance involving dozens of sources, the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), which is responsible for all oil and gas drilling, has not received even one of EBW detonators that had been produced by the Ministry of Defense. The information contained in this book renders the regime's claims utterly false.

Book Description
Seminar paper from the year 2010 in the subject Politics - Topic: Peace and Conflict, Security, grade: 1,0, University of California, San Diego (Department of Political Science), course: National Security Strategy , language: English, abstract: The Iranian nuclear program has been one of the major controversies in international affairs in the 21st century. While Iran insists on the right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes (under the terms of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, NPT), the international community fears the secret weaponization of Iran’s program. Neither could Iran convince the international community that it does not (intend to) work on a program for nuclear weapons, nor could the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, China + Germany (P5+1 countries) – implement effective measures in the form of diplomacy with sanctions to initially deter Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons capability. In the following policy paper, the problem will be first introduced by summarizing its history. A presentation of major players in the conflict and their preferences will help to analyze available strategy options for the United States as well as their possible consequences and chances of success. The following three strategies will be discussed...
