Book Description
Excerpt from Roentgen Interpretation: A Manual for Students and Practitioners Furthermore, the roentgenogram is a projection on a flat surface of everything in every plane between the plate and the tube's target. It must not be forgotten that in addition to the patient this includes opaque objects upon the filters, the clothing of the patient aid the envelope of the plate. The shadow of a rounded bone with ridges on opposite sides will appear on the plate as a flat image with the ridges lying side by side. It is therefore essential for the roentgen ologist to have a thorough knowledge of the projected appearance of anatomical structures, so that he may be able to visualize from a flat plate the relative depth of objects seen Upon it. The study of stereoscopic plates is of great value in this connection. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
