Reinventing the Product

Reinventing the Product PDF Author: Eric Schaeffer
Publisher: Kogan Page Publishers
ISBN: 0749484659
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 393

Book Description
Create the personalized and compelling experiences that today's customers expect by harnessing AI and digital technologies to create smart connected products, with this cutting-edge guide from senior leaders at Accenture. Digital technology is both friend and foe: highly disruptive, yet it cannot be ignored. As traditional products transform into smart connected products faster than ever before, companies that fail to make use of it now put themselves in the firing line for disintermediation or even eradication. However, digital technology is also the biggest opportunity for product-making businesses to create the next generation of goods in the marketplace. In Reinventing the Product, Eric Schaeffer and David Sovie, both Senior Managing Directors at Accenture, show how this reinvention is made possible, to deliver truly intelligent, and often even autonomous, products. Reinventing the Product makes the case for companies to rethink their product strategy, innovation and engineering processes, including: - How to harness the opportunities of AI and digital technologies, such as IoT sensors, blockchain, advanced analytics, cloud and edge computing - Practical advice on transforming their entire culture to build the future of successful 'living products' - Features case studies from global organizations such as Faurecia, Signify, Symmons and Haier and interviews with thought leaders from top companies including Amazon, ABB, Tesla, Samsung and Google This book provides the only advice any product-making company needs as it embarks on, or accelerates, its digitization journey.

Abstracts of Seven Doctoral Dissertations Completed Under Manpower Administration Research Grants

Abstracts of Seven Doctoral Dissertations Completed Under Manpower Administration Research Grants PDF Author:
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Dissertations, Academic
Languages : en
Pages : 88

Book Description
This volume contains abstracts of seven doctoral dissertations completed during fiscal years 1972 and 1973 under research grants from the Manpower Administration. Abstracting for both volumes was done as part of a Manpower Administration project at the College of Business and Public Administration, University of Arizona. Because the editors took considerable liberty with the language, organization, and, in some instances, emphasis of the dissertations, bylines are omitted from the abstracts. However, dissertation authors were given the opportunity to review drafts and are fully identified on the next page, which also contains information on how to purchase copies of their dissertations. In addition, the full text of each dissertation may be read in the library of the university from which its author received his degree, and all are available in the library of the U.S. Department of Labor. The abstracts were prepared by the following graduate research associates (each a doctoral candidate) at the University of Arizona: Barry Bainton (anthropology), David Shaw (economics), and Marilyn Spencer (economics).

Dynamic Analysis of the Urban Economy

Dynamic Analysis of the Urban Economy PDF Author: Takahiro Miyao
Publisher: Elsevier
ISBN: 0323160263
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 205

Book Description
Dynamic Analysis of the Urban Economy provides a dynamic analysis of business and residential economic activities in urban areas. This book is organized into four parts encompassing 13 chapters that cover some insights into the dynamic processes of complex urban relationships through construction and analysis of simple dynamic models of the urban economy, as well as the development of the so-called ""dynamic urban economics"" within the framework of general dynamic economics. The Introduction is a preview of the basic ideas about dynamics. This topic is followed by discussion on the theoretical analyses of dynamic urban systems. Part 1 emphasizes the dynamic stability property of spatial equilibrium and its relation to comparative statics. Part 2 considers the effects of various kinds of externalities o n the dynamic property of the urban economy, while Part 3 examines the long-run growth processes of the urban economy and their optimality property. Part 4 looks into the optimal size and configurations of an urban area in connection with agglomeration economies and traffic congestion. This book will be of great value to economic theorists.
