Book Description
Excerpt from General Oversight of the U. S. Postal Service: Hearing Before the Subcommittee on the Postal Service of the Committee on Government Reform and Oversight, House of Representatives, One Hundred Fourth Congress, Second Session, March 13, 1996 I want to urge all members of the postal community, those here today and those who have been following our activities, to actively participate in this critical public policy debate in a constructive and positive manner. I believe we all share the desire to see a viable and fiscally solvent Postal Service well into the next century, as such sentiments are in the furtherance of the public interest. Starting from this simple premise, I believe we can build a con sensus in moving forward. Should legislative reform efforts fail, however, I feel that the Postal Service will find itself limping into the 2lst century.
