Book Description
Lilly Greene’s journey to know the Lord stems from my very own childhood experiences and how I personally came to know that Jesus is real. Although our stories are not completely the same, much of my story is inspired by the naturistic aspect of God’s creation, which is primarily how Jesus speaks to Lilly throughout this story. Throughout much of my childhood, I would ask my grandmother how people come to find Jesus in a place where Jesus is not talked about. She told me that Jesus does not have to be shared through words but in the Lord our God’s creations. More specifically, He reveals Himself to us through the simplicity of this world. Eventually, I found that the Lord began to reveal Himself to me through things like birds singing and the blooming of flowers in spring. I became fascinated with the art of our natural world. I then started to notice that each time my mother would tell me that she loved me, His presence would feel even stronger. With this story of Lilly Greene, I hope to encourage children and readers to know who Jesus is and the love that He has for me and for you. For those who have already accepted Jesus into their hearts, I pray that this story increases your faith and inspires you to find Him in the simplicity of this world. He is right in front of you; all you have to do is believe it.

Book Description
As a fictional memoir, Zahn Pesh tells the true story of a mentally disabled young man Billy, known affectionately as Vaney and Billys run-in with the San Francisco police. Often using Billy speak, the youths arcane lingo, the author reveals societys neglect and injustices toward such individuals. Wrongly, Billy is accused of making terrorist threats against a paramedic, but few other than Pesh believe the disabled kids story. Avoiding the blame game, Pesh shows how each from personal perspective does his duty, indiscriminately, but nonetheless Billy, or Vaney, suffers because the system fails. Billy is treated like a criminal, not as a patient, which Pesh insists he is. Try as he might, Pesh only meagerly reforms that system, before . . .

Pages : 199

Book Description
On the east face of the Canyon del Río Hondo there is an ancient cave known to the Mescal Indians as Moon Cave. It is a sacred place to the Mescal used for the Ceremony of the Ancients, a ceremony performed every five years rewarding the five most honored braves for their bravery and honesty. The ceremony must take place in Moon Cave because that is where the great medicine man, Owan-atan, created the magic. The reward the braves receive is the opportunity to go back in time to live among their ancestors in the old way of life. This is a great honor and the fact that there is no way back to their former lives is of no relevance to the selected braves. But what does this mean to Denny Miller, who innocently enters Moon Cave during the 2004 ceremony and finds himself suddenly living in 1874? And what does this mean to Scott Franklin, Denny's best friend, who is determined to find out what happened to his vanished friend and help him if he can? Scott "coerces" Cha-tah-wa, a local Mescal shaman, into taking him back to 1874 to search for Denny--and the adventure begins.

Wings to the Kingdom

Wings to the Kingdom PDF Author: Cherie Priest
Publisher: Macmillan + ORM
ISBN: 1429939974
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 401

Book Description
A stand-alone sequel to Four and Twenty Blackbirds from a rising master of the supernatural The fields at Chickamauga, Georgia--America's oldest national military park--claimed 35,000 casualties during the Civil War. Any good guide will tell you that the grounds are haunted. The battlefield even has its own resident haunt, called Old Green Eyes for his tell-tale luminous gaze. It has long been said that Old Green Eyes intends no harm to those who respect the park. He is no menace, but a guardian of the dead. While he walks, the dead may sleep secure in the knowledge that their rest will be undisturbed. While Old Green Eyes patrols the battlefield, there is nothing to fear, for graves are not robbed and bones are not moved. But suddenly a different phenomenon starts puzzling and frightening visitors, causing tours to be canceled and rangers to quit their jobs. These new ghosts are no illusions carved out of the low-rolling fog. One by one, the solemn-faced spirits in ragged uniforms show themselves, and one by one, they point a determined arm off into the distance. Why do the soldiers march again, and what has become of their unblinking custodian? The spirits need a go-between, someone who can speak to them, and for them. Eden Moore is not interested. But the ghosts aren't taking no for an answer. At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

But her sharpest wounds Bethany hides from prying eyes, quietly biding her time until she can take a chance at a new life—away from Jamesport and away from God.
