Le escribi de prisa y corregi las pruebas con suma negligencia. Qui za algunos (los menos) de los defectos que saco aquella primera edicion, podian achacarse a las excelente imprenta que tiene que luchar con mis borrones; pero de la mayor parte de los descui dos, asi de concepto como de estilo, que tantos perjudicaban a la claridad de la doctrina, solo podia y debia responder el autor, y suya era la obligacion de corregirlos. Con todas mis fuerzas lo he procurado ahora, sometiendo el texto a una severa y minuciosa revision, y refundiendo to talmente algunos capitulos, ademas de anadir gran numero de notas y completar en lo posible la parte bibliografica. Suplico encarecidamente a los que posean ejemplares de esta obra mia, que si quieren servirse de ella con utilidad, sustitu yan el primer tomo con este que ahora se impri me, quiza menos indigno de su atencion.
