More than 200 000 tonnes of these pollutants were released at the facilities' sites, 190 000 tonnes went for "final disposal" on-site, close to 45 000 tonnes went off-site for final disposal, about 40 000 tonnes went off site for treatment, and 1 235 000 tonnes went off site for recycling and energy recovery.
