La presente guía pretende ser un instrumento sencillo de conocimiento general de los medios, herramientas y posibilidades que las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TICs) ofrecen a los y las docentes de idiomas para su integración en las aulas. Dicha integración penetra prácticamente todos los aspectos de la labor de un docente, desde la planificación docente, la orientación metodológica, la preparación de materiales y su secuenciación, hasta su uso en el aula con el planteamiento de actividades, seguimiento y evaluación. Esta guía viene acompañada de una página web que ha sido diseñada siguiendo la misma estructura de la guía. La página puede usarse como primer contacto real con las nuevas tecnologías, los materiales aplicados a la enseñanza de idiomas en soporte digital así como con los instrumentos utilizados para generarlos. The Guide for the Integration of ICT in the Foreign Language Classroom intends to be an easy instrument for a general overview of the means, tools and possibilities that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) offer to teachers of foreign languages. The use of ICTs in the foreign language classroom affects the aspects of teaching, planning, methodological orientation, materials, sequencing, activities, monitoring and evaluation. This guide is not a step-by-step manual for the use of particular computer programs or technologies since there are plenty of such manuals for each specific software. What we offer is a general overview of the possibilities open to teachers of foreign languages, focusing only on those applications that might be useful and suggesting actions or providing orientation for their integration in the classroom. The guide is supported by a website including practical examples which can be used as a first real contact with new technologies, already developed materials and the instruments used to create them.
