The material is almost entirely related to Marcus's career as a pianist and teacher: there is no family correspondence. Of particular interest are the records of her master classes, 1950s-1980s, and the files she maintained on her students. The scrapbook, ca. 1917-1937, contains newsclippings documenting her career as a child prodigy in Los Angeles and as a student in New York in the 1920s, as well as her German concert tour in 1930-31.
