โ€œWealth without work Pleasure without conscience Science without humanity Knowledge without character Politics without principle Commerce without morality Worship without sacrifice. https://vidjambov.blogspot.com/2023/01/book-inventory-vladimir-djambov-talmach.html by St. Nikolai of Serbia (Velimirovic) The victory of Christ is the only victory by which all human beings can rejoice from the primordial to the last. Every other victory on earth has divided people. When one king of the earth triumphs over another king, one of them rejoices, and the other mourns. When a person defeats his neighbor, then under one roof - a song, and under the other - crying. But there is no triumphant joy on earth that is not poisoned by gloating: the ordinary earthly winner rejoices as much as his laughter, so much and the tears of the defeated enemy. He himself does not notice how anger half dilutes his joy.

The Immortality Key

The Immortality Key PDF Author: Brian C. Muraresku

Pages : 340

Book Description
THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER As seen on The Joe Rogan Experience! A groundbreaking dive into the role psychedelics have played in the origins of Western civilization, and the real-life quest for the Holy Grail that could shake the Church to its foundations. The most influential religious historian of the 20th century, Huston Smith, once referred to it as the "best-kept secret" in history. Did the Ancient Greeks use drugs to find God? And did the earliest Christians inherit the same, secret tradition? A profound knowledge of visionary plants, herbs and fungi passed from one generation to the next, ever since the Stone Age? There is zero archaeological evidence for the original Eucharist โ€“ the sacred wine said to guarantee life after death for those who drink the blood of Jesus. The Holy Grail and its miraculous contents have never been found. In the absence of any hard data, whatever happened at the Last Supper remains an article of faith for todayโ€™s 2.5 billion Christians. In an unprecedented search for answers, The Immortality Key examines the archaic roots of the ritual that is performed every Sunday for nearly one third of the planet. Religion and science converge to paint a radical picture of Christianityโ€™s founding event. And after centuries of debate, to solve historyโ€™s greatest puzzle. Before the birth of Jesus, the Ancient Greeks found salvation in their own sacraments. Sacred beverages were routinely consumed as part of the so-called Ancient Mysteries โ€“ elaborate rites that led initiates to the brink of death. The best and brightest from Athens and Rome flocked to the spiritual capital of Eleusis, where a holy beer unleashed heavenly visions for two thousand years. Others drank the holy wine of Dionysus to become one with the god. In the 1970s, renegade scholars claimed this beer and wine โ€“ the original sacraments of Western civilization โ€“ were spiked with mind-altering drugs. In recent years, vindication for the disgraced theory has been quietly mounting in the laboratory. The constantly advancing fields of archaeobotany and archaeochemistry have hinted at the enduring use of hallucinogenic drinks in antiquity. And with a single dose of psilocybin, the psychopharmacologists at Johns Hopkins and NYU are now turning self-proclaimed atheists into instant believers. But the smoking gun remains elusive. If these sacraments survived for thousands of years in our remote prehistory, from the Stone Age to the Ancient Greeks, did they also survive into the age of Jesus? Was the Eucharist of the earliest Christians, in fact, a psychedelic Eucharist? With an unquenchable thirst for evidence, Muraresku takes the reader on his twelve-year global hunt for proof. He tours the ruins of Greece with its government archaeologists. He gains access to the hidden collections of the Louvre to show the continuity from pagan to Christian wine. He unravels the Ancient Greek of the New Testament with the worldโ€™s most controversial priest. He spelunks into the catacombs under the streets of Rome to decipher the lost symbols of Christianityโ€™s oldest monuments. He breaches the secret archives of the Vatican to unearth manuscripts never before translated into English. And with leads from the archaeological chemists at UPenn and MIT, he unveils the first scientific data for the ritual use of psychedelic drugs in classical antiquity. The Immortality Key reconstructs the suppressed history of women consecrating a forbidden, drugged Eucharist that was later banned by the Church Fathers. Women who were then targeted as witches during the Inquisition, when Europeโ€™s sacred pharmacology largely disappeared. If the scientists of today have resurrected this technology, then Christianity is in crisis. Unless it returns to its roots. Featuring a Foreword by Graham Hancock, the NYT bestselling author of America Before.

Confronted with the knowledge of Satan's most recent schemes to lay claim to the earth, God finds himself with the inevitability of having to take immediate action. With his leading military officials insisting that he himself make his presence known on earth, God settles on an alternative solution, still not yet convinced that the time had come for his return. Taking care in his selection of the angels and archangels that would be dispersed throughout the world to fight off their ever-challenging enemy, God finds himself with the difficult decision of who to send and to where to combat the most recent attacks against his people. As he begins to assign and delegate the teams of his most trusted angels, he is faced with initial opposition from some of his longstanding warriors when he assigns one of his youngest angels to be a part of the team that is sent to fight against one of Satan's demon generals, a demon who is only second-in-command and strength to the rest and one whose motives are marked against the innocence and protection of God's beloved children. Could Little Lu be the answer to defeat the demon general and save God's children? And if she were, how could one of the smallest angels, one who is untested in spiritual warfare of this magnitude, succeed in the task that she is being sent to do?

Immortal is a young manโ€™s journey from boyhood to manhood and his attempt to find his place in a world he has not yet come to understand. He has to confront the stark reality of life head first, and this is his experience as shared from the depths of his heart. All young people find themselves looking at the world around them and trying to understand it, and this is a young manโ€™s record of his journey expressed with love, vulnerability, humility, and hope. It was written not only for his own reflection but also for insight for generations to come. To see the world is to see oneself. With engaging vignettes spanning confessional and poeting to travel-writing styel, Carlos Campana invites the reader to ride the current of perspectives woven into a captivating self-portrait. I'm in full cheerleader mode for your variation of lenses between entries...it reads in many places as brush strokes carefully selected for a blank palette, as if someone would select their attire based on the weather. Your abstract language paired with journaling-meets-stream of conscious is very effective, and your weilding of rich imagery really shines, for example, in the travel piece dated Nov. 2013. Preliminary praise for now! Congratulations on this triumph! -Nicollete Costantino, M.A. Associate Professor of English and Eyrie Art & Literary Dealing with the angst of maturation seems inescapable. Instead of escape however, Mr. Campana runs full speed into the melee, with an open mind and an open heart. He pushes past curiosity into pursuit, riding on the current of Divine purpose and personal discovery. In this work, he asks tough questions with ambition and an admixture of humility, seeking wise counsel from great minds. Musing on thinkers from Emerson thru Marley, all the way to Jesus, Carlos has produced a captivating work about Life, Love and finding One's way. -Kermit Harrison, Professor of Philosophy

Rethinking Hell

Rethinking Hell PDF Author: Christopher M. Date
Publisher: Wipf and Stock Publishers
ISBN: 1630871605
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 344

Book Description
Most evangelical Christians believe that those people who are not saved before they die will be punished in hell forever. But is this what the Bible truly teaches? Do Christians need to rethink their understanding of hell? In the late twentieth century, a growing number of evangelical theologians, biblical scholars, and philosophers began to reject the traditional doctrine of eternal conscious torment in hell in favor of a minority theological perspective called conditional immortality. This view contends that the unsaved are resurrected to face divine judgment, just as Christians have always believed, but due to the fact that immortality is only given to those who are in Christ, the unsaved do not exist forever in hell. Instead, they face the punishment of the "second death"--an end to their conscious existence. This volume brings together excerpts from a variety of well-respected evangelical thinkers, including John Stott, John Wenham, and E. Earl Ellis, as they articulate the biblical, theological, and philosophical arguments for conditionalism. These readings will give thoughtful Christians strong evidence that there are indeed compelling reasons for rethinking hell.
