George Hinkle Jr. (b. ca. 1769) was born in Earl Township, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, and died 1852 in Dandridge, Tennessee. He married ca. 1788 Susannah Goetzinger (ca. 1770-1852). They were parents of seven children. George Hinkle Jr. first mentioned in Hinkletown, Pa. where he helped his widowed mother run the Inn. He was living in Shenandoah Co., Va. from about 1807 until 1836, and then moved to Tennessee. The earliest known ancestor, Matthias Henckel, was born ca. 1605 at Allendorf-ad-Lumbda in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, a son of Caspar Henckel (1576-1651). Jonas Taylor (ca. 1757-1849) died in Sempronius, Cayuga Co., N.Y. He had eight children, who were all born in New York. Family members live in New York, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee and elsewhere.
