Book Description
This book is an accumulation of poetry from the age of 15 to 51. It is my ups and downs, my highs and lows, my happiness and sadness. There were many years nothing was written. It is hard for me to write when there is nothing to say and still write it well. At 23, I was in a horrifying car accident, in which I almost lost my daughter and myself. I had to grow up again and learn again. It was a painstaking process. Thirteen years later, I came down with bacterial spinal meningitis. The terrifying pain in my brain made me want to die, and although I asked God to take me, I finally realized that He had a different road for me to take. Now I want to be and do the best I can, no matter the road Im on. I write because I love to write. I write because there is a story to tell that maybe someone may learn from, that maybe a situation can be changed for the better, that all is not lost, at least not forever, and the days will get brighter, for with motivation and perspiration, we can move mountains. That God is always with us, that He carries us in his arms, watches us grow, and wants us to mature into loving people, for with love there is everything.

Book Description
From Then until Now: Short Memoirs of Eight African American Savannahians is a collection of personal stories that tell the life journeys of eight African American men born in Savannah, Georgia. These men write about their humble beginnings and how they experienced the challenges of growing up in the Jim Crow South, living in nurturing neighborhoods, developing a strong spiritual foundation, and having excellent caring teachers and mentors who encouraged them to "aim high in life." This collection of short memoirs will inspire readers, especially young readers, to know that it is not where or how you start that determines where you end up but a commitment to the slogan "You can make it if you try."

Book Description
This book was written by me, Maurice C. Wright, as a way of sharing some of the many memories, tidbits, and other recollections that have been in my mind for many years. Through this book, I am passing these on to family, friends, and others that may be interested in reading these stories. Each memory, tidbit, and other recollection has been written to stand alone or to be read as an entire book. Therefore, the reader will find a repeat of information in multiple stories as that information is pertinent to each. Praise be to God for the many memories, tidbits, and other recollections that I am sharing through this book and for the many other stories that are still in my mind and have not been reduced to written form.

From Then 'til Now

Book Description
I have felt for many years that there have perhaps never been a 75 to 100 years that have seen so much progress and change, both for good and bad. Life has always been mixed with both good times and bad times, and so it will until the Lord returns. But this type of good and bad is not what I am writing about. In the horse and buggy era and early years of the car, there were a lot of hard times: poverty, sickness, and epidemics, but by and large, the moral fiber of most people was much better than now. There are many things to blame, but the sad part of this is that I believe the Christians are the most to blame for not getting involved. The scapegoat idea: it's all in the Lord's hands, we don't have to worry or do anything. In the meantime, much has happened because of the ACLU, our court system, the pressure of the entertainment world and the Democratic party, and too many Republicans voting wrong. It is already illegal for the kids to pray in school or even take their Bible to school. They are trying to get "In God We Trust" off our money and take for God and Country out of the Pledge of Allegiance However, I feel there is a trend now of thinking seriously about God and morals and hard work, and there will have to be if this world is going to last. So I am dedicating this to my nine children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and anyone who reads it that it will help them see what a change has taken place in the 1900's and that it might help them on the road of life, plus hopefully bring some enjoyment.

Deontic Logic, Agency and Normative Systems PDF Author: Mark A. Brown
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 1447114884
Category : Computers
Languages : en
Pages : 248

Book Description
This volume presents a variety of papers bearing on the relation between deontic logics, logics of action, and normative systems, i.e. systems of or about interacting agents (computers, human beings, corporations, etc.) whose behaviour is subject to ideal constraints that may not always be fulfilled in practice. The papers range from theoretical studies of the logical and conceptual tools needed, to studies of various applications. The set of papers collected in this book should be of interest to investigators working in a variety of fields, from philosophy, logic and legal theory to artificial intelligence, computer and management sciences, since it covers topics ranging from theoretical research on foundational issues in deontic and action logics, defeasible reasoning, decision theory, ethical theory, and legal theory, to research on a variety of issues relevant to applications connected with expert systems in the law, document specification, automation of defeasible reasoning, specification of responsibilities and powers in organizations, normative systems specification, confidentiality in database systems, and a host of other applications.

John

John PDF Author: Jimmy Swaggart
Publisher: Jimmy Swaggart Ministries
ISBN: 1941403174
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 736

Book Description
JOHN BIBLE COMMENTARY After nearly 40 years of full-time ministry, Brother Swaggart published his first commentary on the book of Genesis that was later described as “the most helpful Bible commentary ever published.” It would take nearly 20 years to complete the entire commentary series—from Genesis to Revelation. True to Pentecostal theology, the Jimmy Swaggart Commentary collection leads its readers chapter by chapter to a better understanding of the Bible. Rather than providing notes on every Bible verse, these commentaries focus on the salient verses of each chapter to offer the reader a condensed synopsis of what the Holy Spirit intended. Where most relevant, cultural and historical references are also included, along with explanations of the allegories, types, and symbolisms used in the Bible to add depth and dimension for students of the Holy Scriptures. Yet, what seems to separate this work from all other commentaries are the biblical applications made to present day circumstances facing every believer. Printed on high-quality paper and bound with a beautiful hardback cover, this unique reference will be cherished by anyone who loves to study the Word of God.
