Heinrich Frey was born ca. 1653 in Zurich, Switzerland. He immigrated to America and arrived in Philadelphia 1675. Heinrich married Anna Cathrine Levering in April of 1692. They were both pioneer Hugenots who settled in the state of Pennsylvania and reared a family of ten children. Heinrich died in 1734 and was buried in the old Frey Burial Ground (now known as the Bertolet Burial Ground) in Fredrick Township, Montgomery Co., Pennsylvania. Descendants lived primarily in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Oklahoma and elsewhere.
