Contexte: les médecins généralistes sont les premiers concernés par le repérage de la fragilité chez les personnes âgées vivant à domicile. La grille de repérage de la fragilité recommandée par l'HAS comporte 6 questions simples portant sur la perte de poids, l'asthénie, la sédentarité, la diminution de la vitesse de marche, l'isolement social et la plainte mnésique. Elle est complétée par une évaluation subjective du statut de fragilité. Le CIRS-G est une échelle de comorbidité validée en gériatrie. Le but de cette étude est d'évaluer si le score de comorbidité est plus élevé chez les individus identifiés comme fragiles dans une population de plus de 65 ans vue en consultation de médecine générale. Méthode: la grille HAS et le score CIRS-G a été envoyée à un groupe de médecins généralistes et remplis pour chaque patient au cours d'une consultation au cabinet. Le statu fragile était considéré selon l'évaluation subjective du médecin généraliste indépendamment des critères identifiés aux 6 questions de dépistage. Le score global du CIRS-G était considéré pour évaluer le niveau de comorbidités. Résultats: les données ont été établies pour 101 patients (âge médian 72 ans, 58,4% de femmes). Despite decades of attention on building a global HIV research and programming agenda, HIV in older populations has generally been neglected until recently. This new book focuses on HIV and aging in the context of ageism with regard to prevention, treatment guidelines, funding, and the engagement of communities and health and social service organizations. The lack of perceived HIV risk in late adulthood among older people themselves, as well on the part of providers and society in general, has led to a lack of investment in education, testing, and programmatic responses. Ageism perpetuates the invisibility of older adults and, in turn, renders current medical and social service systems unprepared to respond to patients’ needs.
