Excerpt from Fortieth Annual Report of the Nebraska State Horticultural Society: Containing All the Proceedings of the Summer Meeting Held at Falls City, July 21 and 22, 1908, and the Annual Meeting Held at Lincoln, January 19, 20 and 21, 1909 Article V. - Duties of President - It shall be the duty of the presi dent to preside at all meetings of the society, appoint all committees not otherwise provided for, countersign all orders drawn on the treasurer by the secretary; in conjunction with the secretary he shall arrange all programs for the meetings of the society, and perform such other duties as the society or board of directors may require. Article VI. - Duties of Vice - Presidents. - The vice-presidents shall superintend all exhibits of the society, and in case of vacancy in the office of president at any meeting of the society or board of directors shall perform all the functions of that office in the order of their rank.
