Throughout history, women around the world have struggled and have long fought for equal footing with their male counterparts. Society claims to have achieved gender equality with equal opportunities in voting, employment, and education. Still, men continue to dominate and outnumber women in elected and top-level management and leadership positions where visibility, responsibility, productivity, and profitability are high.
