Book Description
This carefully edited collection has been designed and formatted to the highest digital standards and adjusted for readability on all devices. Experience the American feminism in its core. Learn about the decades long fight, about the endurance and the strength needed to continue the battle against persistent indifference and injustice. Go back in time and get to know the founders and the followers, the characters of all the strong women involved in the movement. Find out what was the spark which started it all and kept the flame going. Learn about the organization, witness the backdoor conversations and discussions, read their personal correspondence, speeches and planned tactics. Learn about the relationship between great activists and what caused the fraction. This six volumes edition covers the women's suffrage movement from 1848 to 1922. Originally envisioned as a modest publication that would take only four months to write, it evolved into a work of more than 5700 pages written over a period of 41 years and was completed in 1922, long after the deaths of its visionary authors and editors, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. However, realizing that the project was unlikely to make a profit, Anthony had already bought the rights from the other authors. As a sole owner, she published the books herself and donated many copies to libraries and people of influence. Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815–1902) was an American suffragist, social activist, abolitionist, and leading figure of the early women's rights movement. Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906) was an American suffragist, social reformer and women's rights activist. Harriot Stanton Blatch (1856-1940) was a suffragist and daughter of Elizabeth Stanton. Matilda Gage (1826–1898) was a suffragist, a Native American rights activist and an abolitionist. Ida H. Harper (1851–1931) was a prominent figure in the United States women's suffrage movement and biographer of Susan B. Anthony.

Book Description
To all corporate executives: Warning! There are now thousands of aggressive, ambitious young journalists out there who desperately want to become the next Bob Woodward, the next Mike Wallace or the next Seymour Hersh. They want to get there quick. They want to get there with minimal effort. And they won't mind getting there by destroying your company and marching over its corpse. These are the predatory journalists. They disguise themselves as "investigative reporters," but investigation is the least of their concerns. What they want is the hot headline that portrays you as a villain and that ignites public outrage. They know this is the fast track to stardom in the news media, and they're not about to let little things like facts, truth and context get in the way. Where do they get their stories? Often from Corporate America's most ruthless antagonists: plaintiff attorneys and social activists. Traditional PR says that you must kowtow to these thugs. Hardball PR says you can fight back--and win. Read this book. The life you save could belong to your company.

History of Woman Suffrage (Complete Six-Volume Edition)

History of Woman Suffrage (Complete Six-Volume Edition) PDF Author: Various
Publisher: DigiCat
ISBN:
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 4509

Book Description
History of Woman Suffrage reflects the history of voting in the United States from its beginnings to the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment. It is a comprehensive review of the most important historical events on more than 5000 pages. For decades this book has remained a significant source of primary information on suffrage movements in the United States and is a valuable source of information today. Although the work was written by leaders and members of the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA), it doesn't cover the deeds of the other women suffrage organizations. Yet, even today, the History of Woman Suffrage remains "the richest repository of published, accessible documentary evidence of nineteenth-century suffrage movements," as researchers state.

The Christ of God

The Christ of God PDF Author: Beatrice Francis Carey
Publisher: Page Publishing Inc
ISBN:
Category : Bibles
Languages : en
Pages : 228

Book Description
If our lives are built on the foundation of the Word of GOD, it will be that we will seek Him more and more. We will want to honor Him in as many venues as possible. I think if Jesus, the Christ of GOD, was here today, He would be using every platform available to declare His Word. Jesus lives through His Word, so the more it is honored and declared, the more He is glorified. For the most part, GOD'S Word has been ignored lately. When this great country of ours was founded by Christian fathers, the Bible was the textbook children learned to read out of at school. Then we became too prideful and sophisticated to keep Christ central. We started relying on ourselves and our inventions and strayed from our first love. As Hosea rightly proclaimed, "Thou hast gone a whoring from thy GOD." We have "cast off the thing that is good and are deeply corrupted." He continues his rebuke, warning Israel of GOD'S wrath. It is the same for us today. GOD will visit us for our sins, and our "glory shall fly away as a bird" (Hos. 9:11). The message is always the same: return unto your Maker. We are like children following every pied piper on jump street. Hopefully, with more chapters on our King and Savior Jesus Christ, we will flee to His open arms We do not want to hear "The glory is departed," not from our country or any country. No, we want the King's glory to rain down upon us. Hosea's beautiful words remind us, "According to their pasture, so were they filled. They were filled, and their heart was exalted. Therefore, have they forgotten Me. O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself but in Me is thine help. I will be thy King. Where is any other that may save thee?" (Hos. 13:6, 9, 10).

The Merrikan King

The Merrikan King PDF Author: Gerry Green

Book Description
A four-thousand-year-old prophecy warned that when mankind had made certain advances over nature, it would face an unstoppable tide of evil unless certain bizarre events came to pass. Jake King, an American forestry consultant, chanced upon a medieval shield while tracing his English ancestry. The shield began to glow, drawing him into a glen where an ancient thornbush unfurled a bedraggled Merlin, magicked there fifteen hundred years ago. Merlin hailed the bewildered Jake as the prophesized reincarnation of King Arthur. Before he can gather his wits, Jake finds himself thrust into a series of unbelievable Arthurian adventures, confronting a man-eating giant, a fire-breathing dragon, marriage, and the devil himself. In parallel, Merlin is thrust into his unbelievable images of twenty-first-century England (cars, TV, telephones, etc). But the combination of his rusty magic and seventeenth-century English caused mayhem everywhere he trod, and nearly everybody he met was left teetering on the edge of insanity. Accordingly, his innocent quest to save the world elected him to Public Enemy Number 1. Could Arthur and Merlin fulfill the conditions of the prophecy and save both worlds?
