Book Description
The Bagley family arrived in the American colonies about 1642. The research of Dr. Norton Russell Bagley and his sister, Martha (Bagley) Anderson, builds on the tradition that three Bagley brothers came to Boston; Orlando, Samuel, and Thomas. Dr. Bagley notes that the members of the Orlando line settled in Amesbury, Massachusetts, where they were selectmen, sheriffs, and town clerks. Some of Orlando's descendants spread to Kingston and Candia, New Hampshire, and then to the Eastern Townships of Canada. Some refused to take allegiance to the King of England and came back into upper New York and ended up in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Another branch went to Maine and settled in Durham, Liberty, and Montville, and then on to Down East and Washington County, Maine, to Jonesport and Machias and beyond. Another branch from New Hampshire went to Vermont, to Hartland, and hence to Durham and Cairo, New York, and then to Pennsylvania, Ohio, and to other states of the old Northwest, and from there to the West Coast. A few were found in the South. Like most New England families, the Bagleys scattered widely in their quest for better land and a better life.*Some Descendants of Orlando Bagley of Amesbury, Massachusetts: Volumes 1 and 2, 4th Edition trace the descendant lines of the immigrant, Orlando Bagley.*Notes on Bagley Lines: A Genealogical Summary of Numerous Bagley Ancestors, Volumes 1 and 2, 3rd Edition traces the descendants of Samuel Bagley and many other Bagley lines and also contains additional information on the Bagleys in England.*Families Related to the Bagley and Floyd Families, 2nd Edition explores the lines of some of the related families.*The Bagleys and Related Families of Washington County, Maine, and Beyond: A Genealogical Profile of Our Ancestral Families, Volume 1 - In America, Volume 2 - In Europe, and Volume 3 - Ancestral Charts, by Timothy W. Bagley, contains a narrative family tree of descent in America through Orland Bagley and related families up into Maine. Volume 2 follows the lines back into Europe and Volume 3 provides a set of family tree/pedigree charts.

Also brought to life in these pages are the branches of Ford's family tree, from his Irish ancestors to the descendants who carry his legacy today. Although it was the automobile that made him an industrial icon, Henry Ford could boast of exploits in many other arenas as well: railroads, speedboats, robots, flour mills, rubber plantations, and humanitarian efforts around the world and in his own backyard. Ford's hard work and passionate interests brought him great wealth , and this book provides a peek at the luxuries he and his wife, Clara, enjoyed, from a yacht and a private rail car, to gracious residences in Michigan, Florida, and Georgia.
