We also have endeavored to make plain the fact that in the natural world and in history as well there also have been some strange, yes, very wonderful things, which, had they been written in the Bible, would have been declared impossible, unbelievable. Throughout we have endeavored to be as true to the teachings of science as to Scripture, for both lead the mind to God. But is it not a fact that very many people think more about the mysteries in this book than they do about the simple statements of belief and the duties which are inculcated?
