Cette évaluation finale couvre le projet «Intégration de la résilience climatique dans la production agropastorale pour la sécurité alimentaire dans les zones rurales vulnérables à travers l’approche des champs-écoles paysans», financé par le Fonds pour l’environnement mondial (FEM). La performance globale du projet est jugée modérément satisfaisante. Le projet apporte une réponse pertinente aux besoins d'adaptation au changement climatique au Sénégal. Le projet est cohérent dans sa conception et s'aligne sur le Plan Sénégal émergent. L'évaluation a conclu que le projet a contribué à renforcer les capacités des acteurs institutionnels et des organisations paysannes en matière d'adaptation au changement climatique, de résilience et d'équité entre les sexes. Les principaux résultats du projet comprennent: le renforcement des capacité des techniciens, producteurs facilitateurs-relais, agriculteurs et agro-pasteurs sur les bonnes pratiques d'adaptation au changement climatique à travers l'approche des champs-écoles des producteurs; la création d'un fonds de résilience climatique qui a permis de financer des micro-projets en zone rurale; la diffusion d'informations climatiques; des formations sur des pratiques adaptées au changement climatique au niveau des champs-écoles des producteurs et des champs-écoles agropastoraux.

Water is vital for life, and its availability has been a concern for mankind throughout the ages. Its presence has always been ascertained in a variety of ways and the development of human society everywhere is connected with various forms of water management. Man also needed to manage water to find protection from its dangers and the need for that is increasing. In the coming decades, the impact of climate change is expected to intensify floods and droughts, affect groundwater resources, raise sea levels, increase pollution and enhance the frequency and magnitude of disasters. Societies around the world are challenged to adapt to these threats to ensure water security, economic prosperity and environmental and cultural sustainability. This book deals with the heritage of water management and the use that was made of water, as well as the impact of water management on heritage. L’objectif global du projet était d’améliorer la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle des populations vulnérables au Burkina Faso et au Mali à travers le renforcement de la résilience de leurs moyens d’existence face aux aléas climatiques. L’évaluation finale du projet a été réalisée entre le 22 avril et le 18 mai 2019 par une équipe de trois experts. Elle conclut que le projet a contribué à améliorer la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle des populations vulnérables ciblées. Les ménages ont été formés sur les pratiques agro-sylvo-pastorales résilientes au climat à travers l’approche «Champs écoles agro pastoraux» (CEAP) qui a montré son efficacité dans le transfert de connaissances. Grâce à la mise en place d’Associations villageoises d’épargne et de crédit (AVEC), plusieurs ménages ont pu avoir accès au crédit pour financer des activités génératrices de revenus et la caisse de solidarité des AVEC a contribué à renforcer la cohésion sociale du groupe. L’évaluation a constaté une analyse insuffisante en matière de genre et de sensibilités socio-culturelles qui a limité la participation des femmes aux activités du projet.
