La maladie de Crohn est une maladie chronique inflammatoire de l'intestin qui peut atteindre toutes les parties du tube digestif. C'est une maladie plurifactorielle avec des symptomatologies diverses. La prise en charge thérapeutique mise à disposition des professionnels de santé est complexe. Le but est de diminuer les poussées inflammatoires et les récidives en vue d'améliorer la qualité de vie des patients. Grâce à l'arrivée des anti-TNF-alpha, on assiste à une amélioration des résultats cliniques, cependant ces traitements thérapeutiques peuvent entraîner un risque accru d'infection. Ce travail montre non seulement qu'il n'existe pas plus de risque infectieux après une chirurgie abdominale avec la prise des traitements de type corticostéroïdes, immunosuppresseurs (azathioprine, méthotrexate) ou par anti-TNF-alpha (infliximab) mais aussi que ces derniers améliorent la cicatrisation de la muqueuse intestinale et permettent ainsi un recul du nombre de récidives. Le chirurgien dentiste doit être en relation avec le gastroentérologue pour une meilleure prise en charge de ces patients au cabinet dentaire.

In combating global warming and other environmental issues over the use of fossil fuels, extensive research has been focusing on developing hydrogen production from biological processes. Biohydrogen is considered a promising future biofuel because of its intrinsic clean and high-energy content properties and the way it is produced.
