Face aux difficultés actuelles alliant pénurie de l'offre de soins et hausse de la demande en médecine ambulatoire, le système de santé français est en souffrance. Parallèlement à ce constat se dessine un rajeunissement et une féminisation de la profession de médecin généraliste de plus en plus attirée par l'exercice salarié. Ainsi, il devient primordial d'offrir à la jeune génération des conditions de travail leur permettant de s'épanouir professionnellement et personnellement en recherchant la conciliation entre la carrière professionnelle et la vie personnelle. L'exercice en centre de santé semble répondre à cette exigence tout en apportant une prise en charge optimale de la population. L'objectif de cette étude vise à mettre en évidence les aspects positifs de ce type d'exercice, en analysant le ressenti, avant et après installation, face aux différents déterminants ayant initialement influencé les médecins généralistes français dans leur choix d'exercer en centre de santé. L'objectif secondaire est d'en explorer les éventuels aspects négatifs. Cette étude observationnelle quantitative a été réalisée à l'aide d'un questionnaire diffusé par voie électronique après recueil téléphonique des centres de santé participants. La liste de diffusion comportait 307 centres de santé recensant 724 médecins généralistes salariés. Le recueil de données a été effectué d'avril à juin 2022. Au total, 120 participants ont pu être inclus dans les analyses. Les principaux résultats montrent une satisfaction globale quant à ce type d'exercice, notamment en ce qui concerne la stabilité socio-professionnelle apportée par le salariat, le travail en équipe permis par le regroupement, la réduction des tâches administratives par rapport à l'exercice libéral, la non gestion du personnel qui incombe à l'employeur, l'installation facilitée clé en mains, et le type de médecine exercé. Néanmoins, la création de cohortes selon le mode de gestion du centre soulève des différences de connotations face à certains de ces critères. Il pourrait être intéressant de connaitre ces données avant installation. Or très peu d'étudiants sont informés à propos de ce mode d'exercice. Une formation de découverte des différentes modalités d'exercice de la médecine générale avec un atelier dédié aux centres de santé pourrait être une façon d'attirer les jeunes vers ce mode d'exercice.

In the late 1950s, like tens of thousands of young men of his generation, Pierre Bourdieu, having recently passed the agrégation in philosophy, found himself immersed in the Algerian war.
