Book Description
After a perfect little lamb was born to, Fleecy, one of the ewe’s of a flock of sheep, a ewe named Eunice started to tell her little lamb, Minnie, about how a perfect lamb like that had to give it’s life on an altar by humans in the old days. She told her how the first humans ate the fruit the Creator told them not to when the deceiver said it would make them wise. They hid from the Creator, but He found them and told them they would no longer live forever. Minnie said that was awful, then saw her friend Woolly and asked Eunice if she could go play with him. Eunice knew Minnie had a short attention span, so she agreed. She could finish telling Minnie the story later. Minnie and Woolly ran too far way from the flock and had some trouble that the shepherd had to help them get out of. When Minnie got back, Eunice scolded her for going too far. Eunice started telling Minnie more of the story. Soon it was time to head for the shelter. The shepherd had his sheepdog, Shep, roundup all the sheep. When the sheep were all safe in the shelter, Eunice finished telling the story of the Perfect Lamb to Minnie and the other little lambs close by. They were all thankful that perfect lambs didn’t have to die for humans anymore. They felt safe in the shelter and fell to sleep.

Book Description
God has a special place for you! For all the times little ones have felt different, left out, or alone, God has a message of hope. The Crippled Lamb tells the story of a little lamb named Joshua who is different, left out, and left behind. But one starry night, Joshua learns a lesson that is true for everyone: “Don’t be sad…God has a special place for those who feel left out.” Joshua longs to keep up with the flock, but God has a very special place for him—just as He does for everyone. One cold winter night, Joshua is in the right place at the right time to watch history’s greatest event unfold . . . and to play a part in it. Filled with warm, tender moments, this story will charm children and families year-round. Fully animated, it features voice talent, including Robby Benson (Beauty and the Beast) and Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid). Two original songs complete the soundtrack. This DVD also includes the bonus feature Alabaster’s Song by Max Lucado. Alabaster the angel, a family Christmas tree topper, teaches a little boy that Christmas is not about the gifts under the tree, but about the gift of Jesus.

Invisible

Invisible PDF Author: Stephen L. Carter
Publisher: Macmillan + ORM
ISBN: 1250121981
Category : Biography & Autobiography
Languages : en
Pages : 438

Book Description
The bestselling author delves into his past and discovers the inspiring story of his grandmother’s extraordinary life She was black and a woman and a prosecutor, a graduate of Smith College and the granddaughter of slaves, as dazzlingly unlikely a combination as one could imagine in New York of the 1930s—and without the strategy she devised, Lucky Luciano, the most powerful Mafia boss in history, would never have been convicted. When special prosecutor Thomas E. Dewey selected twenty lawyers to help him clean up the city’s underworld, she was the only member of his team who was not a white male. Eunice Hunton Carter, Stephen Carter’s grandmother, was raised in a world of stultifying expectations about race and gender, yet by the 1940s, her professional and political successes had made her one of the most famous black women in America. But her triumphs were shadowed by prejudice and tragedy. Greatly complicating her rise was her difficult relationship with her younger brother, Alphaeus, an avowed Communist who—together with his friend Dashiell Hammett—would go to prison during the McCarthy era. Yet she remained unbowed. Moving, haunting, and as fast-paced as a novel, Invisible tells the true story of a woman who often found her path blocked by the social and political expectations of her time. But Eunice Carter never accepted defeat, and thanks to her grandson’s remarkable book, her long forgotten story is once again visible.
