Book Description
CE TRAVAIL EST RELATIF PLUS PARTICULIEREMENT A L'ETUDE CRISTALLOGRAPHIQUE DES RUBANS DE SILICIUM POLYCRISTALLIN ELABORES PAR LA METHODE EPR (ELECTRON POUDRE RUBAN). LES CONDITIONS DE CROISSANCE DE CES RUBANS CONDUISENT A DES STRUCTURES DE GRAINS ET DE JOINTS DE GRAINS PRESENTANT UN TAUX DE DEFAUTS PLUS OU MOINS ELEVE; LES DEFAUTS INTRAGRANULAIRES SONT CONSTITUES DE DISLOCATIONS ET DE MICROMACLES: LA DENSITE DE DISLOCATIONS VARIE DE 10#+#4 A 10#+#7/CM#2. LES DEFAUTS INTERGRANULAIRES SONT, LE PLUS SOUVENT, DES DISLOCATIONS ET DES DEFAUTS D'EMPILEMENT. L'ETUDE DE TEXTURE FAITE PAR DIFFRACTION X MONTRE QUE LA METHODE DE TIRAGE INDUIT UNE CRISTALLISATION NON ISOTROPE DES LE PREMIER PASSAGE DE LA ZONE FONDUE. SUR LES PRERUBANS, LES ORIENTATIONS (110) ET (331) APPARAISSENT MAJORITAIRES, CE QUI SE CONFIRME APRES LE SECOND PASSAGE DE LA ZONE FONDUE. CETTE ANALYSE COMPLETEE PAR UNE ETUDE ECP SUR LES GRAINS DE PLUS GRANDES DIMENSIONS MONTRE, POUR CES DERNIERS, UNE DOMINANTE D'ORIENTATION (111). L'UTILISATION D'UN GERME INITIAL DE CROISSANCE DE TAILLE (111) FAVORISE LE GROSSISSEMENT DE GRAINS POSSEDANT CETTE ORIENTATION TOUT EN AUGMENTANT LEUR NOMBRE. LES CARACTERISATIONS CRISTALLOGRAPHIQUE ET ELECTRIQUE RESPECTIVEMENT PAR M.E.T. ET EBIC-LBIC MONTRENT QUE LES JOINTS DE GRAINS SONT EN POSITION DE MACLES; LES UNS, AU CENTRE, CONSTITUES PAR DES INTERFACES A INDICES DE COINCIDENCE EXACTS CONDUISENT A UNE DIMINUTION DE 25% DU PHOTOCOURANT A LEUR NIVEAU, LES AUTRES, SUR LE BORD A INDICES CRISTALLOGRAPHIQUES NON DEFINIS, SONT PLUS ACTIFS PROVOQUANT UNE DIMINUTION DE 62% DU PHOTOCOURANT AVEC UNE VITESSE DE RECOMBINAISON A LEUR NIVEAU DE L'ORDRE DE 10#+#4 CM/S. LA LONGUEUR DE DIFFUSION RESTE COMPRISE ENTRE 18 ET 35 M. ENFIN, L'ANALYSE SIMS INDIQUE DES CONCENTRATIONS ELEVEES DE CARBONE ET D'OXYGENE REPARTIES DE 10#1#7 ET 10#1#8/CM#3 EN VOLUME

Adhesion Between Polymers and Concrete / Adhésion Entre Polymères Et Béton

Adhesion Between Polymers and Concrete / Adhésion Entre Polymères Et Béton PDF Author: H. R. Sasse
Publisher: Springer
ISBN:
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 792

Book Description
Preface Adhesion is a phenomenon architects and civil engineers are not very familiar with. In other disciplines knowledge about surface properties and the background of bonding energies is also far from satisfactory; nevertheless there are many important· applications in concrete engineering, where adhesion is necessary for success and durability. These include: - coating and painting - repair of concrete surfaces - bonding of fresh to old concrete - crack injection - glueing of precast elements - glueing of steel to concrete, etc. In 1981 RILEM established the technical committee 52-RAC 'Resin Adherence to Concrete'. The main aims of the committee's work were - to collect research results and practical experiences - to initiate and coordinate research programs - to develop, on a scientific base, test methods for field and for laboratory purposes. One of the results of the committee's work is a state-of-the-art report, which will be presented orally as a General Report at the International Symposium ISAP '86, and will be printed either in the RILEM journal Materials and Structures or separately. Several test recommendations have been elaborated and will be prepared as drafts for the participants ofISAP '86. These are: - direct tensile test - pull-off test - direct shear test - slant shear test - four-point bending test - dynamic loading test - thermal compatibility test (two versions) - injectibility test.

Biomimicry

Biomimicry PDF Author: Janine M. Benyus
Publisher: Harper Collins
ISBN: 0061958921
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 324

Book Description
Repackaged with a new afterword, this "valuable and entertaining" (New York Times Book Review) book explores how scientists are adapting nature's best ideas to solve tough 21st century problems. Biomimicry is rapidly transforming life on earth. Biomimics study nature's most successful ideas over the past 3.5 million years, and adapt them for human use. The results are revolutionizing how materials are invented and how we compute, heal ourselves, repair the environment, and feed the world. Janine Benyus takes readers into the lab and in the field with maverick thinkers as they: discover miracle drugs by watching what chimps eat when they're sick; learn how to create by watching spiders weave fibers; harness energy by examining how a leaf converts sunlight into fuel in trillionths of a second; and many more examples. Composed of stories of vision and invention, personalities and pipe dreams, Biomimicry is must reading for anyone interested in the shape of our future.

Ecosystem Function in Heterogeneous Landscapes

Ecosystem Function in Heterogeneous Landscapes PDF Author: Gary M. Lovett
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 9780387240893
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 528

Book Description
This groundbreaking work connects the knowledge of system function developed in ecosystem ecology with landscape ecology's knowledge of spatial structure. The book elucidates the challenges faced by ecosystem scientists working in spatially heterogeneous systems, relevant conceptual approaches used in other disciplines and in different ecosystem types, and the importance of spatial heterogeneity in conservation resource management.
