Le but de cette étude est de comprendre la formation et l’évolution des nano-agrégats créés lors de l’ablation laser à courtes impulsions. L’ablation du matériau, la formation et l’évolution du panache sont simulées à partir d’un modèle combinant la dynamique moléculaire (DM) et la technique de simulation directe de Monte Carlo (DSMC). L’influence des paramètres des agrégats et du milieu gazeux entourant l’agrégat sur ses processus d’évaporation et de condensation est analysée au moyen de la DM. Les taux d’évaporation et de condensation obtenus sont directement transférés à la partie DSMC du modèle combiné. Enfin, plusieurs simulations DM-DSMC de l’expansion du panache à grande échelle démontrent la dynamique du panache et l’évolution des agrégats. Deux mécanismes d’évolution d’agrégats sont mis en évidence : par éjection du matériau et par les collisions lors de l’expansion du panache. Une comparaison de nos résultats avec les expériences montre un bon accord pour la prédiction de la distribution en taille des agrégats
