Dans la première partie nous avons établi un parallèle entre le jeu et le sport , avant de définir l'anxiété qui est un phénomène souvent propre à la compétition. Ses effets au niveau de la cavité buccale ont été étudiés, il s'agit du bruxisme, de l'hyposialie et des alvéolyses précoces; de plus; nous avons évoqué la spasmophilie dont les symptômes émotionnels sont évients. Puis une enquête a été réalisée auprès de 100 sportifs de haut niveau et 100 sportifs de base pour déterminer le taux d'anxiété à l'aide du test de Cattell, et les résultats ont été comparés à ceux obtenus lors d'enquêtes précédentes. Les pourcentages obtenus son identiques pour des sportifs de haut niveau, alors que pour les sportifs de base, il existe des différences liées au mode de vie. Enfin, nous avons pu montrer une relation entre état bucco dentaire et niveau d'anxiété mais la corrélation entre ce dernier paramètre et les habitudes tabagiques et alimentaires riches en sucre n'a pu être mis en évidence.
