Estimation of Mean in Presence of Non Response Using Exponential Estimator

Estimation of Mean in Presence of Non Response Using Exponential Estimator PDF Author: Rajesh Singh
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 11

Book Description
This paper considers the problem of estimating the population mean using information on auxiliary variable in presence of non response. Exponential ratio and exponential product type estimators have been suggested and their properties are studied. An empirical study is carried out to support the theoretical results.

Book Description
The present chapter deals with the study of general family of factor-type estimators for estimating population mean of stratified population in the presence of nonresponse whenever information on an auxiliary variable are available.

Use of Auxiliary Information for Estimating Population Mean in Systematic Sampling under Non- Response

Use of Auxiliary Information for Estimating Population Mean in Systematic Sampling under Non- Response PDF Author: Manoj K. Chaudhary
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 13

Book Description
In this paper we have adapted Singh and Shukla (1987) estimator in systematic sampling using auxiliary information in the presence of non-response. The properties of the suggested family have been discussed. Expressions for the bias and mean square error (MSE) of the suggested family have been derived. The comparative study of the optimum estimator of the family with ratio, product, dual to ratio and sample mean estimators in systematic sampling under non-response has also been done. One numerical illustration is carried out to verify the theoretical results.

Two-Phase Sampling in Estimation of Population Mean in The Presence of Non-Response

Two-Phase Sampling in Estimation of Population Mean in The Presence of Non-Response PDF Author: Manoj Kr. Chaudhary
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 15

Book Description
The present paper presents the detail discussion on estimation of population mean in simple random sampling in the presence of non-response. Motivated by Gupta and Shabbir (2008), we have suggested the class of estimators of population mean using an auxiliary variable under non-response. A theoretical study is carried out using two-phase sampling scheme when the population mean of auxiliary variable is not known. An empirical study has also been done in the support of theoretical results.

A Class Of Separate-Type Estimators For Population Mean In Stratified Sampling Using Known Parameters Under Non-Response

A Class Of Separate-Type Estimators For Population Mean In Stratified Sampling Using Known Parameters Under Non-Response PDF Author: Manoj K. Chaudhary
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 11

Book Description
The objective of the present paper is to propose a family of separate-type estimators of population mean in stratified random sampling in presence of non response based on the family of estimators proposed by Khoshnevisan et al. (2007)

Ratio-Product Type Exponential Estimator for Estimating Finite Population Mean Using Information on Auxiliary Attribute

Ratio-Product Type Exponential Estimator for Estimating Finite Population Mean Using Information on Auxiliary Attribute PDF Author: Rajesh Singh
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 16

Book Description
In practice, the information regarding the population proportion possessing certain attribute is easily available, see Jhajj et.al. (2006). For estimating the population mean Y of the study variable y, following Bahl and Tuteja (1991), a ratio-product type exponential estimator has been proposed by using the known information of population proportion possessing an attribute (highly correlated with y) in simple random sampling.

Improvement in Estimating the Population Mean Using Exponential Estimator in Simple Random Sampling

Improvement in Estimating the Population Mean Using Exponential Estimator in Simple Random Sampling PDF Author: Rajesh Singh
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 9

Book Description
This study proposes some exponential ratio-type estimators for estimating the population mean of the variable under study, using known values of certain population parameter(s)

Almost Unbiased Exponential Estimator for the Finite Population Mean

Almost Unbiased Exponential Estimator for the Finite Population Mean PDF Author: Rajesh Singh
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 14

Book Description
In this paper we have proposed an almost unbiased ratio and product type exponential estimator for the finite population mean Y. It has been shown that Bahl and Tuteja (1991) ratio and product type exponential estimators are particular members of the proposed estimator. Empirical study is carried to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed estimator.

Improved Exponential Estimator for Population Variance Using Two Auxiliary Variables

Improved Exponential Estimator for Population Variance Using Two Auxiliary Variables PDF Author: Rajesh Singh
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:

Book Description
In this paper exponential ratio and exponential product type estimators using two auxiliary variables are proposed for estimating unknown population variance 2 yS . Problem is extended to the case of two-phase sampling. Theoretical results are supported by an empirical study.
