MMPI-2 Basic and Restructured Clinical Scale Profiles in a Normal and Eating Disordered Sample
Author: Dara R. Bushman
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Eating disorders
Languages : en
Pages : 54
Book Description
The purpose of the current study was to examine the MMPI-2 profiles of women in an eating disorder residential inpatient treatment program and compare them to a normal sample. Due to the limited number of studies available on the MMPI-2 and eating disordered individuals, one of the primary goals of the current study was to replicate past findings of MMPI-2 profiles, elevations and their corresponding external correlates in this population. In addition, due to the significant limitation of a lack of a normal sample in a majority of these studies, the current study compared the eating disordered group with a 'normal' group and investigated MMPI-2 profile differences. Another goal of the current study was to explore the Restructured Clinical scale profile among eating disordered individuals and examine Harris Lingoes scales, which has thus far not been done in the literature.
