Book Description
Since February 2020, the Covid pandemic has had an enormous impact on business worldwide. In South Africa alone it has been one of the biggest reasons for loss of income. Traditional businesses are battling to stay afloat and in many instances are either forced to reduce staff or to shut their doors completely. There are many South Africans who went from having a steady income before Covid19, to not having any income at all. The rules of traditional commerce seem to have changed overnight and people are forced to look at new ways of doing business. In the past few months, I have had many friends and acquaintances mentioning an interest in starting an online business themselves, or friends who would like to start a business. The most frequently asked question I find myself answering is, "Where should I begin?" or "Do you have any pointers on where I should start?"I gave this substantial thought and decided to write down the nuts and bolts which I have found useful in creating and running an online store in South Africa. I spent months researching these building blocks for my own business and find them to be the cornerstone of such a new venture. It is a competitive new world out there, and therefore, in order to professionally exchange goods for money in the world of e-commerce, it is critical to put everything in place to make the transaction as efficient, smooth and successful as possible.
