Excerpt from Elementary Bacteriology and Protozoology The revision of this book herewith presented is due to the need for certain changes and additions to bring it up to the state of information of the present year. It has no special military significance because the principles involved in the subject have changed little or none by developments in military medicine. It was, however, inevitable that some new matter with direct military applicability would have to be introduced, but this ism the line of adaptation and not of change in principles.
