Derecho aéreo para pilotos de drones es una obra dirigida a pilotos o profesionales que necesiten consultar la normativa vigente en esta materia. El contenido, desarrollado teniendo en cuenta las recomendaciones del Apéndice I de los Medios Aceptables de Cumplimiento dictado por la Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea, se estructura en diez capítulos que abarcan desde los conceptos elementales de derecho aeronáutico hasta la normativa internacional, europea e interna que resulta de aplicación a la operación de vuelo de estas aeronaves. Así mismo, se detallan los requisitos del operador y del piloto, y los equipos y el uso del espacio aéreo, actualmente regulados en el Real Decreto 1036/2017, de 15 de diciembre, por el que se regula la utilización civil de las aeronaves pilotadas por control remoto. A lo largo del texto, se recoge también una selección de la normativa complementaria reguladora de la investigación de accidentes e incidentes y notificación de sucesos en la aviación civil, así como las responsabilidades administrativa, civil y penal en que puede incurrir el operador.
