Pour ce faire, huit enfants TDL et trois enfants DT ont suivi un entraînement expérimental en MdT, et huit enfants TDL et cinq enfants DT, appariés en âges, ont effectué un entraînement alternatif qui portait sur des compétences du domaine scolaire. L'analyse des résultats a montré une amélioration des compétences en MdT du groupe expérimental après Pentraînement. Cependant, celle-ci ne s'est pas transférée aux capacités de compréhension de phrases complexes, possiblement en raison d'épreuves trop complexes pour les sujets, faisant intervenir des facteurs extralinguistiques et demandant de nombreuses ressources cognitives.

Les enfants ayant un trouble développemental du langage (TDL) présentent des difficultés particulières avec la syntaxe complexe, qui seraient dues, selon plusieurs auteurs, à des déficits au niveau de leur mémoire de travail (MDT). L'objectif de cette étude est d'analyser les effets d'un entrainement intensif de la MDT (Magic Memory) sur les compétences en MDT et en production syntaxique chez les enfants TDL et les enfants avec développement typique (DT). Pour cela, nous avons proposé l'entrainement Magic Memory à un groupe de huit enfants TDL et trois enfants DT, et afin de nous assurer que les éventuels effets retrouvés soient bien spécifiques à cet entrainement, nous avons proposé un entrainement contrôle (soutien scolaire sur la plateforme en ligne Squla) à un autre groupe composé de huit enfants TDL et cinq enfants DT. Ces deux entraînements ont été réalisés pendant huit semaines à raison de trois séances de 30 minutes par semaine. Nous avons comparé les performances en MDT et en production de syntaxe complexe de chaque groupe avant et après la période d'entrainement. Nos résultats confirment une amélioration des performances suite à l'entraînement Magic Memory. Par conséquent, proposer un entrainement de la MDT dans le cadre de la prise en charge orthophonique des enfants TDL semblerait pertinent.

De nombreuses études mettent en évidence un lien entre la compréhension syntaxique et la mémoire de travail phono logique. Des protocoles de rééducation de la mémoire de travail ont montré leur efficacité, tant en ce qui concerne la boucle phono logique que l'administrateur central. Nous avons donc émis l'hypothèse qu'une rééducation de la mémoire de travail phono logique chez des patients aphasiques agrammatiques permettrait une amélioration de leurs performances en mémoire de travail phonologique tout d'abord, mais conduirait également à un meilleur traitement syntaxique. Nous avons de ce fait proposé à trois patients agrammatiques un entraînement composé de divers exercices sollicitant la mémoire de travail phonologique, et ce à raison d'une séance par semaine pendant cinq mois. Un protocole d'évaluation composé de plusieurs épreuves concernant d'une part la mémoire de travail et d'autre part la compréhension syntaxique a permis de mesurer leurs performances dans ces domaines. Il a été réalisé à la fois en pré-test et en posttest, dans le but d'évaluer les effets de notre rééducation. Les résultats sont analysés sous la forme d'une étude de trois cas séparés. De façon générale, les capacités en mémoire de travail ont été améliorées. En revanche, les progrès en compréhension syntaxique sont moins évidents mais vont tout de même dans le sens d'une évolution favorable. Il est évident que nous n'avons pu remédier aux difficultés d'assignation des rôles thématiques. Associer une rééducation portant sur ce domaiQe à un entraînement de la mémoire de travail permettrait sans doute l'obtention de résultats plus significatifs.

Le trouble spécifique du langage (TSL) entraine des dimcultés expressives persistantes malgré l'intervention orthophonique. Basée sur des études récentes attribuant une relation prédictive entre la mémoire de travail (MDT) et la syntaxe complexe (Delage, 2015), notre étude s'intéresse à l'effet d'un entrainement spécifique en MDT sur le langage des enfants avec un TSL. Pour cela, nous avons proposé à un groupe d'enfants avec TSL âgés de 6 à 12 ans un entrainement intensif et informatisé ciblant la MDt spécialement créé par une équipe de recherche de Genève. Une évaluation de la MDT et des compétences en syntaxe complexe avant et après cet entrainement nous a permis de mesurer son eflèt. Nous avons comparé cet effet à celui d'un entraînement contrôle. Ces entrainements ont été proposés selon des modalités identiques à raison de trois séances de 30 minutes hebdomadaires sur une période de huit semaines. Nos analyses statistiques ont montré un eflèt direct de l'entraînement cible sur les compétences en MDT, effet non retrouvé avec l'entraînement contrôle. Néanmoins, nous n'avons pas pu mettre en évidence un effet indirect de l'entraînement cible sur les compétences en syntaxe complexe : nous attribuons majoritairement ces résultats au faible effectif de nos échantillons et à leur hétérogénéité. En effet, l'étude de Delage et al. (2018), relatant les résultats de l'ensemble des enfants avec TSL du projet dans lequel s'inscrit notre étude, montre une amélioration significative des compétences en syntaxe complexe après l'entraînement cible. Notre étude ouvre ainsi la voie à de nouvelles cibles pour l'intervention orthophonique auprès des enfants avec TSL.
