Affectivity and Learning

Affectivity and Learning PDF Author: Pablo Fossa
Publisher: Springer Nature
ISBN: 3031317092
Category : Psychology
Languages : en
Pages : 793

Book Description
This book presents an interdisciplinary approach to the study of affectivity and human learning by bridging the gap between neuroscience, cultural and cognitive psychology. It brings together studies that go beyond the focus on cognitive-intellectual variables involved in learning processes and incorporate the study of the role played by affectivity and emotions in learning not only at educational settings but in all processes of transformation and human development, thus presenting affectivity as a catalyst and mediator of all daily learning processes. Chapters brought together in this contributed volume present both theoretical contributions and results of empirical research from different disciplines, such as neuroscience, cognitive psychology, cultural psychology, educational psychology, developmental psychology and philosophy, and are grouped into five thematic sections. The first part of the book brings together chapters discussing different aspects of the role played by affectivity in learning processes from the perspectives of cultural, educational and developmental psychology. The second part is dedicated to the role of affectivity for teachers during their training as educators and during their pedagogical practice in diverse contexts. The third part focuses on the relationship between affectivity and learning from a neuroscientific point of view. The fourth part discusses affectivity and learning in therapeutic and clinical contexts. Finally, the fifth part brings together chapters about affectivity and learning in everyday life. By bringing together this rich interdisciplinary collection of studies, Affectivity and Learning: Bridging the Gap Between Neurosciences, Cultural and Cognitive Psychology will be a valuable resource for researchers in the fields of psychology, neuroscience and education, as well as for educators and teachers interested in knowing more about the relationship between affectivity and human learning.

Handbook of Research on Using Motor Games in Teaching and Learning Strategy PDF Author: Gil-Madrona, Pedro
Publisher: IGI Global
ISBN: 1799896226
Category : Education
Languages : en
Pages : 511

Book Description
Motor games are incredibly useful in enhancing education and developing critical skills; they can entertain, produce pleasant emotions, improve moods, and increase the level of relationships. Motor games allow social, emotional, and cognitive development as well as the acquisition of motor skills such as knowledge and mastery of body, postural control and adjustment, and improvement of coordination. However, it is essential to select the appropriate game for each context to achieve the desired learning in all students. Further research on the opportunities, challenges, and future directions of motor games in education is necessary to successfully implement them. The Handbook of Research on Using Motor Games in Teaching and Learning Strategy presents significant advances in motor game education and collects research evidence that uncovers the certainties and testifies to the educational power of motor games in various situations and specific contexts that promote the learning of participants. Covering topics such as emotional physical education and educational mediation, this major reference work is ideal for researchers, academicians, educators, practitioners, and students.

Publisher: IGI Global
ISBN: 1668457660
Category : Education
Languages : en
Pages : 451

Book Description
Working in an interdisciplinary manner is long pursued but a difficult goal of science and mathematics education. The interdisciplinarity of science and mathematics can occur when connections between those disciplines are identified and developed. Sometimes those connections are scarce, but in other moments, full integration is achieved. The Handbook of Research on Interdisciplinarity Between Science and Mathematics in Education presents results of good practices and interdisciplinary educational approaches in science and mathematics. It presents a broad range of approaches for all educational levels, from kindergarten to university. Covering topics such as computer programming, mathematics in environmental issues, and simple machines, this major reference work is an excellent resource for administrators and educators of both K-12 and higher education, government officials, pre-service teachers, teacher educators, librarians, researchers, and academicians.

Caminando juntos

Caminando juntos PDF Author: M. Elizabeth Leal Apaéz, Ary Elzyra Ramírez Castillo
Publisher: Editorial Gedisa
ISBN:
Category : Education
Languages : en
Pages : 150

Book Description
